One of them is Kalkamel, and the other is me, both Star Wars fanatics ;D
Peter is very passionate about Star wars as well, but I believe he pales next to Kal & myself when it comes to sheer madness in our passion
Just curious as to the actual amount you paid for that Ncc 1701 plate...I don't need to know the exact figure, but is it 5 figures or 6 figure? The blotted out figure on the letter in your blog looks like it can be either.

Oh my goodness , you must be a real die hard star trek fan to spend so much for a car number that resembles an Enterprise starship.

Too much passion is not necessarily a good thing... your passion will be writing cheques your walllet can't cash.

Well to share, NCC 1 was at RM55,000 so mine is definately 5 digit only, though with lots of sacrifices in time and effort as well. Someone also commented here that if the NCC-1701 is on a kancil, he would fire a full spread of torpedos at me. Yes, fortunately, I currently dont yet need a kancil but even when the day comes when I drive a kancil, Im still sure to transfer the number to it and divert all power to the shields array - just in case a spread of torpedoes does find me...! Today my number plate is customised as NCC-1701 including the dash and is in a custom made font resembling the one we see on the Enterprise. I wonder if JPJ will kacau me because of the font or dash? Any comments? Any idea what to do if they do ?

6 figure for a number plate? Well to share, NCC 1 was at RM55,000 so mine is definately 5 digit only, though with lots of sacrifices in time and effort as well. I was hoping you didn't have to pay 6 figures for your plate; but even if you did, I wouldn't be surprised. I've seen crazier things before.
3 years ago I would say you're crazy if you tell me to spent a 5 figure sum on a costume I don't intend to wear; but I'm currently doing exactly that. Good thing is, I can probably make a good profit should I decide to sell it in the future. I view it as an investment, not an expense.
NCC 1 is RM55,000? I thought we can now get a personalised plate (like [YOUR NAME 1]) for just RM50,000?I wonder if JPJ will kacau me because of the font or dash? Any comments? Any idea what to do if they do? I can train you to be a Jedi so you can just wave your hand and say 'You do not want to kacau me. Move along, move along' ;D
Or else, a few well-placed credits should do the trick

Too much passion is not necessarily a good thing... your passion will be writing cheques your wallet can't cash. Ah, but that don't apply to people like you with 'self-rejuvenating' wallets, powered by Mystical Forces, and fuelled by a combination of animal skin and parchment... ;D

Unfortunately, S'pore carplate only starts with "S" ... may be I will wait for STK-1701D next time ... haha ;D
