OK, here I am. Took me a long time to join this Forum as I keep forgetting. Here goes: The nick Mr. Engineer was inspired by Back to the Future's Mr. Fusion. Since I came back with a piece of paper stating I have to be an Engineer, so be it. I love Sci-Fi, mainly because they looked more realistic compared to real life. Back then, when RTM was showing the Classic Star Trek, all I could even remember was lying on my back wondering why these people dressed up in red, blue and yellow T-shirts. It was not until I was in UK that I got exposed to Star Trek:The Next Generation that I was really hooked on Star Trek. And I lam a sucker for props/things that has a lot of blinking LEDs. And so, I love the TNG Tricorders. With my Degree, I can now legally use a soldering iron to burn...er, create rudimentary electronic circuits. Although I seldom have time to do much stuff, due to my two kids nowadays, I try to make sure there is something done, even if it takes decades. I am interested in making my own props/designs and thus, anyone who is an expert in resin or plastic casting, I am your best, bester and bestest friend. Projects done so far: My own custom Lightsaber Projects to be done (by 2007/8): Electronics for the Type III Phaser rifle Electronics for the Mark VII Tricorder (toy version) Electronics for the Mark VII Tricorder (if I can get the real prop) Electronics for the Voyager PADD Electronics for the Mark X Tricorder My Blog: chowfookcheong.blogspot.comMy Website (inactive) www.chowfookcheong.com

And I lam a sucker for props/things that has a lot of blinking LEDs. ...............I can now legally use a soldering iron to burn...er, create rudimentary electronic circuits. Hey, I like LED a lot too Projects done so far: My own custom Lightsaber Wow!! you've made your own light saber, I am thinking of buying the parts and making one for myself, maybe later when I have the budget. Maybe can consult you on the electronics, as I have no experience whatsoever in electronics. It would be great if you could share some pic of your lightsaber.

Hi guys.
Plo-ey, the thing is ready except for the switch. I am not sure if the surface that the box is sticking into, is curved or not. This is because the screws are on the other side of the case and it might be difficult to remove if we put in a lot of double-sided tapes, etc.
Anyway, to tell me when you are here and then we can sort of retro-fit it on the spot.
