Hi,
This is a long overdue introduction - stumbled across the site (and forums) quite some time ago but never quite knew where to jump in - including heading to events and such .. was afraid that I wouldn't be able to fit in
Well, as in intro (with only relevant details) .. let's just say that I'm a sci-fi fan but mostly only of TV shows and movies -
I'm a major fan of Stargate SG-1, although lately my interest has been fading with the later seasons. Most of my family know how much I love this show .. when they hear the theme song, they'll start teasing me about it .. so now, I have to watch it when I'm alone .. heh
Battlestar Galactica - really enough said, best sci-fi series in a long while.
Farscape - a little late getting into this but caught up with the whole series on DVD and now it's an ultimate favorite as well
Star Trek - watched everything except TNG, TOS. TNG is up next in queue - btw Voyager is still my favorite although DS9 was pretty amazing as well.
Also planning on catching all of Babylon 5 (movies + Crusade even), but that's going to be a huge task so it's definitely after TNG.
I also read some sci-fi, although that's a new thing and I'm not sure if they're pure sci-fi or not. I haven't given any books for the series above a try though - are they any good?
In the past year have also gotten into graphic novels but I've only been hooked on two series - Y: The Last Man and Fables. Currently trying out Runaways (from Brian K. Vaughan of Y: The Last Man) and it's good so far. Not so sci-fi, yes?
Well .. that's enough of an intro i think.
Lena
