Well, your pics sure brought back some memories, S.O.

I too had the MLC & the MTV-7. I had a lot of the figures as well but not a complete set. Hey, I was only 9-10 years old at the time. It was a small collection but I was proud of it. Most of them (the figures especially) arrived from S'pore via my aunt who lived (and still lives) there.

I remember torturing my Boba Fett with bunga api during the Raya holidays until he had a burnt mark on his leg. War wound, I called it. ;D. I also had Leia in Boushh disguise with removable helmet. Used to torture her as well ;D.

I dont know what happened to all my vintage stuff. My mother doesn't remember but I think she donated them to charity. Or maybe she threw them away .

By the way, why were there vehicles that never appeared in the movie? Besides the MLC & MTV, I also had two other SW non-movie vehicles but I dont remember their names. One was a brown coloured space fighter. Fits one figure. And the cockpit (or main body or whatever you wanna call it) can be rotated. So the ship can have a 'flight' mode and 'standing up' mode.

The other one looked like a Imperial Probe Droid but has space for one figure (the driver) in it. It also had a pair of claws at the back and you can put a figure in it as well and pretend you have captured a Rebel Spy.

I wonder if S.O knows what I'm talking about.

Woa! I remember having this as a kid. Inherited from cousin I think and subsequently passed on to another cousin.

These mini vehicles were considered as "OFF CAMERA" screen and was supposed to be part and parcel of the STAR WARS universe..

The mini rig vehicle that you were referring to is the ENDOR FOREST RANGER - UK/Europe TriLogo ROTJ Box as shown in this pic from eBay :





the fuselage color is NOT brown but molded in Olive Green plastic.

Some VINTAGE STAR WARS weekend eye candy for the MySciFiFan folks! ;D ;D

Towards the end of the Vintage STAR WARS run esp. in the UK and Europe, PALITOY and its European associates decided to package up the remaining stocks of Star Wars toys into these ATTRACTIVE and exclusive boxes bearing 3 POWER OF THE FORCE logos in TRUE Tri-Logo Pattern. All in all 3 TriLogo POTF Playpacks were released for a LIMITED time - the Hoth themed HOTH RESCUE PLAYPACK and 2 Endor themed ENDOR CHASE and EWOK ASSAULT PLAYPACKS

So now, here's some detailed pictorial review that I have taken of my TRILOGO POTF HOTH RESCUE PLAYPACK, arguably the most difficult to locate among the other two Endor theme Playpacks - Endor Chase and Ewok Assault, which also resides in my Vintage TriLogo ROTJ and POTF Boxed Collection. Nevertheless this Hoth themed Playpack is without dispute, the COOLEST among the 3 playpacks as it gives you an Open-Belly Tauntaun, Hoth Wampa as well as the two main characters of TESB in their Hoth Outfits - Luke Skywalker (Hoth Battle Gear) and Han Solo (Hoth Outfit)

MINT Contents of my Tri-Logo POTF Hoth Rescue Playpack Box



OK here are the contents of this Hoth themed Playpack in my collection. It came complete with the 3 ROTJ Logo Poster Catalog and Instruction Sheet for the Open-Belly Tauntaun. My Luke (Hoth) and Han (Hoth) figures originally came in clear plastic baggies that were taped on one end. There was no Kenner markings on this plastic bag. What went missing was the Cardboard Collar that were packaged with the Tri-Logo POTF Playpacks. I suspect those Custom clowns must have pinched it when they opened up my item for custom inspections!


My HOTH RESCUE PLAYPACK Action Figures & Creatures in ACTION poses!



Here's what the Action Figures and Creatures are doing what they were meant to do! The HOTH WAMPA attempting to readjust LUKE SKYWALKER (HOTH BATTLE GEAR)'s height with HAN SOLO (HOTH OUTFIT) riding the OPEN-BELLY TAUNTAUN *aiming* for the whites of the Wampa's eyes. ;D[/color]
