Price I paid: RM3580 (from UT) Thanks for sharing further on your MR Studio Scale Y-Wing Fighter esp on the materials used in its construction and the total weight.
If it was me, I had rather SPEND the RM 3,580 or equiv. to US$967.56 on a proper set of sculpted Episode III Movie Accurate Clonetrooper Commander - Bly 1:1 Scale Armor complete with a 1:1 Replica of the DC 15 BFG Long Blaster. This way I can proudy DISPLAY my investment for all to see when I troop with the 501st and MySciFiFan costumers.

But that doesn't exist, does it? I mean you can't get those movie accurate armour and blaster commercially, can you?
I'm only interested in what I can get. Not what I wish I can get.

But that doesn't exist, does it? I mean you can't get those movie accurate armour and blaster commercially, can you? Good question and thanks for asking. Actually I can - that is IF I have the extra $$$ in hand. There are lots of talented 501st Legion members who can produce detailed fan made Episode III Clonetrooper Helmet / Armor / Blaster.
Take a look at this superb example of a fanmade Airborne Clonetrooper as seen in the scene where the Clones strormed the Separatists stronghold in Utapau :
The estimated cost to acquire this full set of Movie Accurate fanmade Episode III Clone armor and weapon will be equivalent or more to what you've paid for your MR Studio Scale Y-Wing.

The first item for my next project just arrived in the mail: SgtFang's Boba Fett Mystery Helmet Side view, note the molded dent: Back view, apart from cutting the keyslots at the back, this lid requires very little sanding and filling: The ear greeblies and rangefinder, nicely molded: BKBT aluminum range finder stalk: This lid is constructed from resin and is true to the size of the movie helmet, unlike the Don Post lids (both Deluxe and regular editions). Its very study and light and would be great for trooping. All I need is a welder's visor lense and I'm done. Can't wait to start on this baby... I might just post a progress thread!

Veru cool looking SgtFang Boba Fett Mystery Helmet Kal.
As usual the Sarge came through with flying colours, with superb craftsmanship unmatched by any items mass produced in a factory.
I may just have to get one of SgtFang's TIE Pilot helmet now after seeing this.

I wonder you must have a lot of free time Kal Actually, he doesn't. He can't even attend this weekend's Sc-Fi Convention, and CosCom due to his hectic schedule.
But when you're a dedicated prop & costume maker, you find time somehow...
Looks like Kal will have to live with eye bags for the forseable future ;D

Thanks for the compliment, Pol. And Jaden, I wish I had a lot of free time, but I seriously don't. Otherwise, I wouldn't have taken a year and a half to finish my Vader. I'm targetting completion for Boba to be sometime in 2008!
