If Hasbro is truly terminating their Unleashed series, I'm both sad and relieved...
Sab becasue the Unleashed series is the only thing Hasbro has done right so far with their license, and it's a pity because like Fish said, there're lots more cool characters to be Unleashed ...
Relieve because I can save money for even cooler stuff from Sideshow and Medicom... ;D

Looks like it. Damn stupid move by Hasbro. Surfing the 'net I saw that hardly anyone supports the move. We dont want Gashapon-style figures. We love the detail in the 7 inch figures. Stupid, stupid Hasbro!

I think it is a smart marketing strategy. Unleashed is released partly due to the success of detailed sculpt and pose by Mcfarlane. They are cashing on the popularity of the gashapons and i guess they earn more by producing smaller stuffs.I guess they can churn out hundreds of units in a minute compared with Unleashed. I dont how much Hasberok will sell this smaller version. I was aghast when i noticed that gashapon can easily cost up to RM29.90.
Goodbye Unleashed, welcome to the Hall of Fame.

Goodbye Unleashed, welcome to the Hall of Fame. Ka-Ching! Guess my (almost) complete collection of Unleashed figures will be worth a small fortune then when the unleashed line is no more... ;D

Something I read at Rebelscum.com about the end of the Unleashed line:
Question 1: Is Hasbro in fact changing the Unleashed line, and if so why such a drastic change in size? Is there any chance we’ll see some ‘special’ old style 7” figures released for fans of that scale?
Answer: A change is coming for a number of reasons, some having to do with price point issues at retail, more will be revealed as Hasbro outlines their plans for 2006 during Friday’s panel. While there are no plans for more 7” Unleashed figures beyond what’s been announced, Hasbro would not rule out the possibility of more at some point in the future.
(Bolding mine).
"Hasbro would not rule out of more at some point in the future"?? Is that their way of saying, "If the 2 inch line flops, we will bring it back the 7 inch figures that you guys have always loved"?
Somebody needs to unleash (pun intended) the power of the Dark Side on the Hasbro people. Any volunteers?

Not going to bother myself for these 2in... 3.75in will be as small as I'll go... Yeah...even collecting the Unleashed figures is already a step-down from my usual 12"-and-above collection...
And I only collect selected 3.75" figs to populate my vehicles...
No way I'd go anywhere near those 2" figs..

Yeah, 'downgrade' from 6in Unleashed to 3.75in series: Aayla Collection... now if only there is a 1in Lego figure too...
