i finally have a Kotobukiya Vader to call my own. always wanted to get one since the first version came out. but then again I was just student. now with some income, I could afford, so I won this off a bid at our local EBay. i personally like the Koto Vader more than the Medicom one (then again, it's just based on the pics I see). despite the electronic box mistake (the red button one of 2nd edition), I can still live with it. it would take an experienced collector and a sharp-eyed fan to notice it (yes, that probably means all you other collectors out there. i'm newbie). while the Koto Vader is a static figure, I like the pose that Koto made for it. it strikes a menacing figure of power, even with the vinyl made cape (it doesn't flow, but it sure still looks good to me). the lava base is a little "expanded universe"-like cos Vader never stood on any location with lava in the movies. i got this piece at RM330, because of the slightly bad paint job on the left electronic belt box. but again, i can live with it ( please don't stone me, true-blue collectors out there ..)

Don't think can make him do the 'dodge bullet' pose...
Actually I'm quite curious myself how far I can bend him...I'll set him up one of these days and see what I can make him do... ;D

CONGRATULATIONS Edge! Your first Koto! Here's wishing you many more to come!
And very good price at RM330!i personally like the Koto Vader more than the Medicom one (then again, it's just based on the pics I see). despite the electronic box mistake (the red button one of 2nd edition), I can still live with it. Actually, the red button IS in the right positon for the EP3 Vader, as evident from this official promotional pic below.
I haven't had a chance to scrutinise other EP3 Vader figures but I believe they're all like that.

Strip Vader naked? Why? He's not a doll to change clothes with... want to put Vader in bikini suit issit? Force choke stance not difficult, just curling the fingers!

Actually I'm quite curious myself how far I can bend him...I'll set him up one of these days and see what I can make him do... ;D It's not advisable to bend a Medicom RAH body, especially in the 'dodge bullet' pose. They're not built to be posed that way. The legs especially...very fragile.

the red button on Ep3 Koto Vader is in the right place you say ? oh no, Plo... a detail misread have you ? don't worry, Lord Vader is more forgiving than the Emperor On the EP3 Koto Vader, the red buttom on the bottm row of buttons is in the correct position. Its the 3 horizontal 'coin slots' and the 2 square red and green buttons on top of the chestbox that has switched position on the 'error' version.
Go back to page 3 of this thread and see my comparison pic. The one you have is the one on the left.
