MIB or just simply Bukak!
That is the conflict when you spent hundred of bucks of getting it. Now are u going to rip it off or simply let it being displayed just like another toy store?
I had been oogling abt the the new packaging ROTS design. Normally we can see the packaging is a flat 2D Vader image and boring green colors.
Hasbro did an amazing job in coming out a new look in the their latest ROTS issues. The anamorphic design that defines the Vader helmet is simply dosh! Marvellous.
I have regrets when i simply rip open the Cinemascene issues. It certainly look much much better left unopened. So the question of bukak or MIB is coming back to haunt me.
What about you guys?
What is your opinion towards this?
Arghhhhhhh.....arghhhhhhhhh.
Bukak or MIB.

I usually leave it alone unless it can be re-packed. All my carded figures are MIB. Even those that comes in window boxes are hardly disturbed. Some I'll take out to play with for a whil, but then promptly repack them back into their original form, wires and all.
I also wrap the whole box with plastic sheets to prevent the box from being damaged, with the figure/vehicle inside ;D

So the question of bukak or MIB is coming back to haunt me. ...Bukak or MIB? I sense the anguish and conflict within you on this issue on Star Wars collecting. Instead of moving to these 2 extremes that is to either OPENING UP the Factory Sealed Toy/Vehicle/Playset and discarding the packaging or leaving everything INTACT INSIDE the FACTORY SEALED box, what I can advise is to open up the box carefully using a pen knife to slice open the factory sealing, take out the Star Wars collectible to oogle at it , and then you carefully put them back inside the original packaging. This was what I did with the 2 Hasbro Saga Death Star Trash compactor scene boxed mini playset that I picked up at Jaya Jusco One Utama (you were with me when I purchased these MIB items at a SUPER DISCOUNTED PRICES ;D). Alternatively, the other thing you can do like what Steve Sansweet does is to buy one in its pristine case fresh 100% Factory Sealed state and purchase another one to BUKAK TELANJANG! ;D This is of course if you have the $$$$ like Mr. Sansweet. ...and so the choice is yours, Bro! ;D

Pretty impressive collection...but I think The SITH OverLORD can give him a run for his money
This is the guy who appeared as Darth Maul at the EP2 UT event right? I SMSed him for last year's SW gathering but he never replied me...wonder if he'll make an appearance during the EP3 screenings...

No sweat SaberMaster, I have personally seen the "size" of his Vintage Star Wars Collection and its just doesn't qualify for an apple to apple comparison! ;D Also don't even bother contacting this "Darth Maul" impersonator as he is one of those Closet collectors who steer clear on-line forums and only shares his collection tips with the same birds of his feather!

I believe the SithMaster means same collectors mindset, not that there's anything right or wrong about it. Everyone has their own way about their colllections. Hmm... maybe we can have a weekly collector profile of a MySciFiFan member here in the forums... ;D Back on topic... I do think the new SW EpIII packaging is rather nice, better than the EpII stuff, not that I really bought much. Hasbro seems to be paying more attention to packaging nowadays... check out the Unleashed series and EpIII lightsabers

Actually darqueside when I used that cliche "birds of the same feather" was a PRIVATE JOKE between me and SaberMaster. We self respecting members are NOT racist here nor do we discrimante against other people, except for the FLAMER called Raider who is revealed to be a SISSY PANTYBOY Online and Offline! ;DNope darqueside, I have no comments of those other collectors featured.
