69.90 quids which would be around say RM500 (according to current currency exchange). Wait long er and there should be a half-price sale but again have to act fast.

Ah yes, Malaysia IS the most expensive place in the world for Lego Also with the most kedekut retailers who will seldom knock off 50% unless forced to in some warehouse clearance sale. At least in Aust, Singapore & UK, predictable that 50% discount will happen!

Hailfire Droids selling at Aust at 50% off for months. No one wants them. AT-TE's certainly more popular, had to buy one early of miss out on it. Now the AT-AT...

The problem with starting of collecting SW legos would be its price. I don't dare to buy them since i don't know whether they are reasonable or not. Here in UK, pricing is at least 50 percent to 80 per cent more than the price you can get in malaysia.
UK TRU is selling TIE fighters set (1 vader, 2 interceptors and 1 droid) for ~RM280. Argos is selling a ROTS TIE fighter for ~RM70.
Sounds really pricy too me eventhough that's their discounted price.
So far the only lego i am interested would be on those unique ones like turbo tanks, AT-TE,AT-AT,AT-RT,gunship and hailfire droid. Is there an AT-ST yet?
I am pretty sure that the upcoming deathstar and the ever-popular stardestroyer make everyone salivates heavily.

UK isn't far from Denmark where Lego is made and also in the EU. I believe Malaysia could be one of the most expensive places in the world for Lego and most unaffordable to the standard of living. As mentioned in the earlier posts, the Turbo Tank seems to be cheaper in UK at RM500 vs. RM600 in Msia. TIE Fighter set and ROTS TIE Set prices you listed above are better than RRP here (RM140 and >RM300 respectively). Yes, an AT-ST has been release a few years back. Comes with a Chewie figure. It was either popular or short production run as secondary market prices are higher, i.e. non-bargain bin. I got my Gunship and Hailfire Droid at good prices, and the others significantly below Msian RRP.

Hmmm..
let me state all the retail prices of lego star wars in UK at the moment.
Lego Star Wars Tie Collection (10131) ~RM280 (only in TRU; original retail price is RM455) Lego Wookiee Catamaran (7260) ~RM210 Lego ARC 170 Starfighter (7259) ~RM210 Lego Star Wars Clone Turbo Tank (7261) ~RM490 Lego Star Wars Imperial Inspection (7264) ~RM310 Lego Wookiee Attack (7258) ~RM175 Lego Ultimate Light Sabre Dual (7257) ~RM175 Lego General Grevious Chase (7255) ~RM105 Lego Tie Fighter (7263) ~RM105 Lego Star Wars Jedi Fighter & Vulture Droid (7256) ~RM105 Lego Droid Trifighter (7252) ~RM70 Lego Clone Scout Walker (7250)~RM49 Lego Darth Vader Transformation (7251) ~RM35 Lego Star Wars Mini Jedi Starfighter (6966) ~RM21 Lego Clone Scout Walker (7250)~RM49
There is also Dagobah X-wing, Snowspeeder, and mini ones (from episode 2) that i couldn't remember the price.
And i think one of the retail store in liverpool is selling darth vader transformation set for RM21. Not too sure.
Do note this is just a proximate since currency fluctuates.
If possible, do post the retail pricings in Malaysia. ;D

I got my Gunship and Hailfire Droid at good prices, and the others significantly below Msian RRP. Did you get your hailfire droid from Aus? And by getting the others for significantly below Malaysian RRP, what do you mean? I would say anything with more than 40 per cent discount is significantly below RRP.

If possible, do post the retail pricings in Malaysia. ;D Easy, just add 30-35% above those UK prices from Msian prices... e.g. Vader Transformation RM49.90... AT-RT RM69.90... ARC Fighter RM300++... see, obscene prices here Yes, I got the Hailfire Droid from Aust. For me, significantly below 25-30% lower then Msian RRP, and bargain is 50% or below.
