i don't understand it.. it sounds complicated..
Yes it can be quite daunting at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's really rather simple...
The reason why its so complicated is because what you see here is the correct way to make the costume, not some simplified, half-hearted atttempt you may encounter in some other site/forum. We decided from the word go that our costume have to be up to mark, be able to stand up to the harshest criticism and hold its own against any scrutiny.
Take the Obi(cloth belt) for example; we could have easily just sew a strip of straight cloth and use velcro to fasten it at the back, and no one would know know the difference. But no, we decided we want our Obi to be the real thing, like how real Obis are made in the traditional way. It was well worth it because everytime I remove my leather belt which goes over the Obi, people who knows anything about a Jedi costume would exclaim "Wow! look at the detail on that Obi! Its not just a straight cloth with velcro behind!"
