Ha, ha... must be darn good cheesecake Hisham! Beats eating from Jedi food capsules...
Anyone got indication how hard of a whack to break-off an FX lightsaber blade? Like will it snap off if falls to the floor? There was this fan film lightsaber duel which went on for long time using FX lightsaber... suggests some durability.

Well, you have to get my light saber for dueling then.
The polycarbonate material that I am using for the blade has a tensile strength @ break of 10000 psi and a tensile impact strength of 260 pounds/ in²
Easily summarised as having the impact strength of metal but the weight of plastic!

For our first few Lightsabres try-out, my Padawans uses their FX and it was with okay, okay "controlled" whack. But in one of the HP Video Recording, we noticed that the blade kinda bent very slightly when in hard contact so now back to using Wooden Dowels with Reflective Tape and lots of Photoshop/CGI work for the actual thing.
Yes, Vader OT Lightsabre design. I dumped the rough design of how it and those ToTJ Claws comes together somewhere in my notes as I did it long long time ago when I first got fanatic over SW.

I think there might be different grades of polycarbonate tubes. I've read that people have broken their MR FX blades before quite easily, but Jeff Parks of Parks saber did once demonstrate how strong HIS polycarbonate blades are by running it over and over again with his car, and he uses the slogan 'unbreakable' to market his blades...
Of course Park Saber blades ARE breakable, given enough force, but what he's trying to say is that his blades can not be broken easily...

Well, there are the low grade polycarbonate and the industrial grade.
The ones that I am getting is the industrial grade. It is almost indestructible. Same as the ones that was used to make bullet proof windows.

Well, as per the website link you posted...it will be possible to obtain Mace's purlple saber but the only thing you have to do is wait for it when it comes out in fall. With regards to Luke's green ROTJ saber, it's now considered a rare item at the moment. Only place you might possibly find it is on eBay. Unless of course, Master Replica decides to reproduce them again ;D . The green saber is pretty cool. My brother was very lucky to snag it before it disappeared from the market. I myself am planning to get Mace's saber when it comes out...*crossing fingers*
