Dplik, that thread was locked for a reason, and the reason was to put a stop to this flame war which is getting out of hand. This is after all a public forum, and we have potential sponsors, clients, and future members checking it out all the time.
If any of our members have an issue with each other, they should take it outside the forum. You can PM or email wach other, but there's no need for everyone in the world to see your dirty laundry.
I had an issue with a member in another forum just recently, and was told to take it outside the forum, and I did.
You might not realise it but people from ALL OVER THE WORLD have access to this forum, not just Malaysians and Sinporeans. And unlike some firums which can only be viewed by registered members, this forum can be viewed by even non-members.
Dplik I have met you and although we didn't spend that much time together due to the hectic schedule, you seem like an ok guy to me. We at MySciFiFan value your being there during the appearances at your own expanse and asking nothing in return.
Tim, although I haven't met you in person, I have heard nothing but praises from Peter, and I have a lot of respect for your dedication and devotion to your craft. We would sure like to work with you in the future for our projects. Do bear in mind that although you do this for a living, others don't, and hey don't have the time or might not even have the resources to make their costume 'up to mark'. Most of our members' costumes were home made by members themselves, their mother or their aunt, and while some of them lack accuracy or professionalism, I give them great credit for the effort. In my opinion their costume have more heart and soul then my 'spend-money-and-ask-tailor-to-make' costume.
We're all friends here. Can we just bury this whole thing and get along? I'm sure in time you'll come to realise this is not such a big deal afterall, and one day when the 2 of you meet you guys are probably gonna have a good laugh about it.
One thing I want to say though, not in anyone's defence but my personal observation, is that I have spotted clean trooper with the orange pauldron in pics of official 501st events. I think it was a charity event.
Everyone has had their say, so lets leave it at that and say no more. Going any further will only harm the reputation of this and other similar forums, as it put the entire community in a bad ight.
Note: All the posts deemed inappropriate will be archived and will only be accessible by the admins. Locked threads will be reopened once that's done. Any future posts on this matter will be immediately deleted without notice.
