Welcome! Pol, suddenly it is no longer a lonely job. It certainly is good to meet other like-minded people here in our own soil
Now if only vandaldeca can ramage through his attic and find those plans for the Maul saber...he he he ;D

Hey Plo,
I saw your lathed ROTJ stunt saber man. Sweet stuff. Get that baby anodized. I really like your activation box circuit board. The grip might be a problem to anodize tho. Dunno how much you have to lathe off the grip to get the silver aluminium. I machined mine with the grip a little high. After anodizing it I just lathed off the edge.

That Luke ROTJ Stunt being my 1st custom saber, I didn't leave any allowance on the grip area...there're quite a few errors on that saber because I got it made back when I first started collecting lightsabers.
I wasn't a member of any international forum yet, and MySciFiFan forum sure didn't exist back then. I found some plans on the net, re-drew it, and got it made without asking for advise.
The grip area is wrong in another way - it is short half a ring. As this piece was manually machined, what the machinist did was mark out all the different sectons and lathe them to the correct maximum thickness before adding the details. So the area with the grip rings started out as a flat and then he put in the grooves one after another. Because its manual and he didn't factor in the human element, each ring lost around 0.03mm of space as he went along, so he ran out of space for the last ring when he got to the end...
I'm trying to make a few more of these as a few friends have expressed interest in it, but couldn't find a shop to take an order so small (10 pieces). The shop that made the one I have refuse to make another one because it takes too long...
I don't mind having the plans for your Luke ROTJ Hero version if you have them. I believe your saber would be somewhat smaller then the stunt version I have...
