Hi guys, I thought of trying out to make a lekku just for fun. ;D Initially I've made these by hand and left it lying for about a year, then I continue in my freetime to make the head piece. Its quite difficult to attach the lekku to the head piece, it took me a long time. The partly completed lekku looks like this

Hi Jaden
Keep up the good work on your Twi'lek Lekku. I can see the efforts that you've put in. Is it sponge (for the contents) and Polyutherne - PU (skin wrapping) that you're using for your Lekku?
Sorry that I wasn't able to respond to the Comments that you've posted on my Friendster Comments / Testimonial page, where you've asked,
"Hey sith overlord,
I really like your Darth Talon costume picture. I wonder how she makes her lekku looked so natural."
in reference to this picture :
You can read about HOW this Darth Talon costumer did her Twi'lek Lekku (and Red Body paint too - YES it is her own skin that she painted RED to get into character ) in her response to this thread in the Flagship Eclipse forum : Courtney's Darth Talon

Jaden here is also another website that have an EXCELLENT documention of how Latex Twi'lek Lekkus are made. Please click onto the picture link to head over to PAM's TWI'LEK CREATIONS :
the step by step guide in this website is written by the creative genious herself, Pam "SL / DZ 3168" Simpson the Detachment Leader of the 501st Flagship Eclipse - Expanded Universe
"Twi'lek" Pam wearing her end result - her Latex Twi'lek Lekkus (together with full Blue body paint ) as Aayla Secura and with Doug Wangler, the original model for Quinlan Vos in Celebration IV, LA in April 2007.
I'm sure this White Skinned and Blue Skinned Twi'leks (shown in this Celebration IV photoshopped Group Photo together with Darth Talon and Darth Maul, Stormtrooper and ARC Clonetrooper) also use a similar technique to make their realistic looking Twi'lek Lekkus. ;D

Hey thanks Sith overlord, I was only interested in her lekku part not the body paint part(I prefer skin color), because it looked really natural. But nevertheless mine is cheaper on my pocket. The content was sponge sheet and I tried to use a skin colour leather like fabric but it's quite fragile.

Hey Sith overlord, Thanks for the reference link. I've seen most of it. I like Aayla's head piece but I won't make her costume. I would most probably use this to customize my Twilek Jedi similar to my Jedi Academy video game character Jaden Korr with some personal modification like the screen snapshot below.

You're welcome Jaden Lee, and know we finally KNOW where the name Jaden originated from. All this while we were assuming that it was your "Real" name, hor? ;D
For practical purposes of wearing your home made Lekku when you troop with the MySciFiFan STAR WARS Costume Contingent in any events lined up in 2008 , it is BEST that you wear the Head Gear that is worn by female Twi'lek characters - the White skinned Twi'lek with the Purple Bladed double edged Lightsaber (from the Group Pic above) and the Jedi Knight Aayla Secura. The logic behind it is that this Head Gear will help to SECURE your Soft Leather and Sponge Lekkus in place when you move around and execute your Jedi lightsaber swings. Also prevents them from being YANKED OFF from your head from any nuisance from the crowd young or old alike!
BTW WHEN will your Twi'lek Lekkus be COMPLETED to wear in your first trooping appearance in 2008?

Cool! Can't wait to see more Haldir are there are aspiring Twi'lek costumers in Singapore that you know of? Or has someone in Singapore already made a Twi'lek costume complete with lekkus?
