Who is your favorite fighter pilot? Wedge, Hobby, Jenkins, Red leader, Biggs, Dak? Who is it? Do you have a reason why? Any reasons at all and I am just curious.

Wedge because he sounds so cool in the expanded universe. He took lead for Rogue after Luke and formed Wraith and definitely a briliant strategist.
Unfortunately i haven't read any Rogue Squadron's novels...Just out of boredom read the internet about him.

Wedge Antilles: he survived 2 Death Stars, battles at Hoth, Cilpar, Mrllst, Eiattu, Axxila, Brentaal, Borleias, Thyferra, Coruscant (twice, at 3 years and 6 years after Endor), Adumar... those are the ones I can remember. There are probably more.
Additionally, Wedge was also (during his stint as the CO of Wraith Squadron) an Ewok fighter pilot named Lieutenant Kettch. No joke. Have to be read to be believed. ;D

can Jedis be considered as fighter pilots ? they did fly fighters anyway. and darn good were some of them too.

Yea..Plo Koon rocks. But how come he got shot down so easily in ROTS? You've got to give full credit to Mr. George Lucas who made that decision.

Plo Koon, Obi-Wan (despite hating flying), Anakin, Mace Windu ... I think most Jedis are great fighter pilots. they have that Force-edge anyway.
Plo Koon being shot down ? My arguement is that the Jedis fell easily because it was entirely unexpected and that they were caught off-guard.

somehow i find rthe unexpected part to be shallow! shouldn't they by then, through all their training be prepared for anything and everything that comes their way?
but i suppose sometimes they say that, all you need is to slip up ONCE, and then you're ... d..e..a..d!

In AOTC Mace did say that their powers are diminished. And the cloak of the Dark Side might be something that dulls Jedi precognition. So they were totally unprepared to be kicked in the butt by their own troops.
Weird to see Plo Koon to be the one in a fighter. Should have been Saesee Tiin, since he's been established to be one of the best Jedi pilots in the order, bar Anakin. He has his own custom fighter even, the Sharp Spiral!
