It will be according to Starwars.com. No Ep. IV. No Greedo shoots first. No Jedi Rock sequence at Jabba's palace. And sure as hell no Hayden Christiansen in the Jedi ending.

well actually i liked both versions, special edition altered or original. there were things to like and dislike about both.
i liked greedo shooting first. l liked sebastian shaws in the ending. i liked ewoks finale.
i disliked monkey granny face emperor. i disliked bare looking mos eisley. i disliked bare looking cloud city.
so i like both. somehow in my heart i just know i will get it despite my brain telling me otherwise.

Some things are better left untouched. Slight changes to improve the quality like Trilogy SE is okay but in DVD, Lucas overdone many things by destroying essence of the original beauty. To tell u the truth, i never ever gone through all the DVD yet becoz it's to painfull to digest. When the celebration scene start in ROTJ, i stop the player.

Hey, so long as he maintains Leia in that metal bikini, its good enough for me. But please take out Hayden from Jedi. He has no presence.

To tell u the truth, i never ever gone through all the DVD yet becoz it's to painfull to digest. When the celebration scene start in ROTJ, i stop the player. Stop the player at the celebration scene in ROTJ? But that's already towards the end. Are you saying you're fine with the music video in Jabba's Palace?
The changes I like:
ANH
*more rebel fighters in the approach to the Death Star *we can actually see the fighters leave Yavin as opposed to just dots in the original. *a more populous Mos Eisley *Landspeeder doesn't have that pink blob underneath it. *a Sandcrawler rolling over the dunes *the ring explosions of Alderaan and the Death Star *Biggs and Luke reunite at Yavin *words and numbers are all in Arabesh <- this covers all three movies
ESB
*the snowspeeder is no longer transparent *Ian McDermid in hologram *Cloud City looks so much nicer. *no more girly scream from Luke as he crashes through the porthole during his battle with Vader
ROTJ
*Rancor looks better. No more thick matte lines when it interacts with Luke. *hey, I actually liked the many celebrations throughout the galaxy. Especially the one on Coruscant: the crowd assaulting (killing?) the stormtrooper and the toppling of the Emperor's statue *liked the new celebration song too. The original Ewok song was funny but I prefer the new one
The changes I hate hate hate
ANH[/i] *Ben's scream to frighten off the sandpeople. The original was better. *Greedo shooting first/simultaneously with Han/whatever *Jabba's first appearance. Totally pointless...and Jabba looks horrible. Like a photoshop job...and Han "stepping" on Jabba's tail..*ugh*. What is the point of that scene. Han merely repeated everything to Jabba what he said to Greedo 5 minutes ago. P-O-I-N-T-L-E-S-S *Boba Fett's first appearance. He even looked at the camera for a second as if to say, " Hi fanboys!" *Stormtroopers line cut out in Death Star when chasing Han & Chewie. The line: "Close the blast doors!". It's omission made a slightly humorous scene into a serious one (yes, I think the entire ' Han & Chewie gets chased by troopers' scene is humourous. Don't you?) ESB*Ian McDermid's revised dialogue in the hologram scene. Should have stayed with the original *Vader's dialogue changed as he left Bespin. Original line was: Bring my shuttle *Luke's dialogue changed at Dagobah. Original line was: (to R2D2) You're lucky you don't taste so good ROTJ[/i] *The music video in Jabba's Palace. What the heck? *Sarlacc looks more like Audrey the meat eating plant from Little Shop of Horrors*Hayden as Anakin's ghost. Say what?? *" Mesa Freeeeeee!" Okay, not all the celebration scene I like. This Naboo one was spoiled by the dang Gungans. Changes Lucas should have made but didn't*Ben's saber still looked like it switched off in the middle of his duel with Vader. *Luke practised with a[/color] green lightsbaber in the Falcon. But when he first switched it on in Tatooine, it was blue, the correct colour. I'm surprised Lucas never noticed this. Or the guys at Lowry Digital. *Vader's saber is still not red...it's not even pink. It's very light pink.
Erm, that's all I can think of right now. Maybe I'll add more later but for now the list up there is what I like about the changes, what I hate and what I think should have been changed.

I'll probably buy the DVDs. But I'm ticked off because Lucasfilm practicly lied by strongly implying they wouldn't release the original versions again

Lucas changed his mind. No big deal.
The hot rumour on the 'net today is that these non-SE OT will be NON-ANAMORPHIC. Mind you, it's just a rumour on the internet (how reliable is that? Not very). But if it's true....
Will I pick this set up come Sept 11? Yeah, sure. I'm such a sucker for SW

Lucas probably planned to release the original OT all along. He should have just said so in the first place.
Also note, that the press release said these movies will only be available individually for a limited time. So soon, (May 2007?) the OT will be released again but in a box set. After that who knows? Maybe the THX remastered version of OT that came out in 96
