Piecing together a Hellraiser costume perhaps? OUCH! That's painful just THINKING about it!
Hey if we catch the shoe thief the barbed wire would be useful for tying him up. The more he struggles the more the barbs dig into his skin...BWA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!!! ;DHere's an idea to go with that "suggestion". Sprinkle (or pour) salt on the wounds and see how he likes it.

I do live in relatively safe country. Never seen any bars on windows, rarely even any gates on houses. Some huge mansions might have burglar alarm systems or just a dog.
On countryside most farmhouses do never keep doors closed and keys are always on tractors, cars, etc. In fact our media is now full of articles how it was possible to rob armoured bank deposit car on monday. It happened middle of day. Money was not hold on any special containers and police has no surveillance video of how it was done or who did it. It was fourth bank robbery on decade.

Am I correct to say that the 501st Nordic Garrison is responsible to maintain this state of Peace, Safety, Security and Justice in Finland, as well Norway, Swede and Denmark - hence the low crime rate in these Occupied Territories under the Galactic Empire's dominance? ;D

Hi TS0842!
Well, speaking of keys left in cars. I was (pleasantly) surprised that on Langkawi they don't need to lock their cars. The keys also leave it inside the MPVs/cars 'cos (they say) it's no point stealing 'cos very difficult to smuggle out of the island. Must be the only place in Malaysia where you can leave your keys inside car! In KL, leave your IF cannot get inside your car (but usually do), can steal tyres, wheels, lights, side mirrors, car logos, antenna (those nice ones) etc.
How I wish this "leave your keyes in the car" habit could be rolled out to Klang Valley....sigh....got thumb scan security door handle oso kena thumb chopped off....but that's another thread....BTW, so happened I(finally) got my new replacement shoes yesterday after a long search(not that it interests anyone....just for the record )

shah alam where I live (near the UiTM) used be very safe. We left doors unlocked, gates open, nap during the afternoon with windows open....my Dad once forgot his wallet and h/p on the terrace and they were there the next morning! Those were the days. Now, its all over. We've had robberies, muggings, break-ins, snatch thefts, and the police are at the students' hostel all the time, plus the mat rempits now terrorize our roads. What was worse is that most homeowners were unprepared for the crime spree, as it used to be so safe. Very few houses have alarms, for instance. Now all got.
We need the 501st to move in an restore order. The cops arent very effective as there arent many of 'em. So few, in fact, that they have to prioritize emergencies, and the Sec. 6 balai sometimes only has 6 cops on duty! Apa ini oi?
