An ANH Vader is definitely in my books of things to do, but not red-eyed. I think it was a lighting glitch (in the TIE cockpit) that made it look red. In actual fact, I think it is dark amber. Kalkamel, the red eye I was referring to is the same dark amber like what you've just mentioned, except that I didn't have the exact words to describe it at the point of typing.
The dark amber tint in Darth Vader's helmet can also be clearly seen in the scene when he was confronting a captive Princess Leia in the hallway of the Tantive IV at the earlier part of the movie.
There is also another version of Vader that is welcomed by the 501st MALAYSIA-BRUNEI OUTPOST and that will be the Ralph MacQuarrie concept Darth Vader circa 1976.

Peter, what I meant was some helmet makers like GH and JB would put deep red lenses on their lids for the ANH variant, for e.g: ... which I think should not be the case. It may have been lighting reflected in the lenses to make it look red. That's why I like SPFX's ANH helmet. The lenses are dark brown amber.

There ARE already a few identified and selected potential members (based in the Klang Valley - you've trooped with some of them and some new blood or "orang baru" as well ;D) in the making and they will be joining us in the 501st MALAYSIA-BRUNEI OUTPOST within the next few months after they have completed their 501st Legion qualifying costumes. Yes, we will GROW and strenghten the Galactic Empire's and Sith Order's presence in Malaysia and Brunei.

Congratulations on your approval into the 501st, Tk-8598! You've beaten me to it... Not to worry, I'm still in the running! (As soon as I get some time off the theatre business!)

The ranks of the 501st MALAYSIA-BRUNEI OUTPOST continues to GROW with these NEW members with their variety of uniforms of the mighty Imperial Military of the Galactic Empire.
ID 1594 - the FIRST of the many Imperial Officer costumers to join.
Kein Rasaad is also the YOUNGEST member, who was recruited to the ranks of the 501st MALAYSIA-BRUNEI OUTPOST after graduating with Honors from The Imperial Naval Academy. He was officially inducted on 1 AUGUST 2007 as our 8th member. He is now serving in his commissioned rank of Captain aboard the Class II Imperial Star Destroyer "Bane".
TD 4910 - the FIRST Sandtrooper in the ranks of the 501st MALAYSIA-BRUNEI OUTPOST
TD 4910 is the second 501st MALAYSIA-BRUNEI OUTPOST member stationed in BRUNEI. Recently enlisted in our ranks on 13 SEPTEMBER 2007 as our 9th member. Seen here right after he was outfitted with his complete Sandtrooper gear with the White Pauldron rank of a NCO and T-21 BFG from his local Imperial Quartermaster. It won't be long before TD 4910 obtains distinctive weathering on his armor like this... ;D
