I recently completed an Emperor's Royal Guard costume for my wife so I thought I'd share some pics of it here. For the outer robe I decided to go with the doube slit ROTS look instead of the sling over one shoulder ROTJ look. It's just more maneuverable! The force pike is a modified golf ball retriever. I cut the basket off, put in a pen top as the tip, glued some studs and finally glued a sink knob to the bottom of the handle. And no, Pol... its not Armitage Shanks! ;D Hope you like!

Congratulations and Well Done to you and Hanim on this COOL looking Emperor's Royal Guard costume.
As the Outpost Leader of the 501st MALAYSIA / BRUNEI Outpost, this costume stands a good chance to gain acceptance to the 501st Legion. Kalkamel, please get Hanim to sign up with the www.501st.com and select Malaysia / Brunei Outpost if you guys have not done so yet.
Yessss, one up for the GALACTIC EMPIRE!! ;D

Looks great tho' not as baggy as original. Having seen it in person, if applying to the 501st and they stated that yours isn't canon as they are getting pretty anal these days, ( they might still be discussing about the "canon" parts" over in the forum), remind them it's more towards the Action Figure look where the slits are wider exposing the underneath. The original ROTS is a LOT wider and I got lost most of the time when I go peeping Great job done btw. Ps: Helmet from where? Altmann is it or another source?

Funny you should say that, Haldir. I based it on the display in Singapore AOSW as well as Trisha Biggar's Dressing a Galaxy book: I think the main difference between Hanim's costume and that display is that mannequin's got broader shoulders. The helmet's an FG helmet I got on Ebay. I think its a DP recast. It looks great when its polished, though.

Thanks, Chakotay! I bought the golf ball retriever about one and a half moons ago, but only actually started modifying it into a force pike the day before the Carnival. Talk about procrastinating!

Nah, I lagi worse. Been saying about redoing my ROTJ-CE IRG to be strictly AOTC and now ROTS version since 2003 and still haven't do that; made worse now that my helmet is almost gone case. Forcepike jangan cerita, still that piece of metal pole & wooden dowel when I had accumulated lots of parts already to make a new one....well, except the bottom as want to get the AS Wheel.
