I've obtained the expert advice from my fellow 501st Legion members and am back with the various ways on how to ATTACH the machined Aluminium Greeblie or your own homemade Greeblie to your tailor made Imperial Commander Caps.
Basically I have organised the inputs provided into these 4 Categories as follows,
1. Affix with Household GOOP
Clean up the surface - back of Greeblie with Sandpaper and clean with alcohol. Greeblie that is GOOPed to the surface of Imperial Officer cap can stay on despite being washed in a washing machine. Wow!
Inputs contributed by Moff_D, JoeRichmondVA and TKvanB from the 501st Legion.
2. Epoxy the Backs of the Hat Pin
Epoxy the hat pin backs to the back to the Greeblie. Thereafter push the pin through the hat at the desired spot.
Inputs contributed by TK-1161 Curt and TK546 from the 501st Legion.
3. Affix with Ear Ring blanks
Wow! This is the first time I've heard of this method I must say. Glue it to back side of the Greeblie and stick it through a premade pin hole of the Cap. Thereafter secure the end. This method facilitates easy removal of Greeblie when the time comes to clean the cap and ensures that the Greeblie to lay flat against the flap.
Input contributed by Garrett alias Kyle Darklighter from the 501st Legion.
4. Affix with 2 Component Glue
Sand the surface - back of Greeblie a little before applying 2 component glue.
Input contributed by our fellow MySciFiFan forum member, TS 0842 and by SethB6025 for his advise recommending the use of E-6000 that ~ sticks to everything. ;D

The Household GOOP indicated in the first method refers to this particular brand of SUPER ADHESIVE here :
Overview of the package
WHAT GOOP can really stick!!
OMG 4 Stars in its ability to bond to the surface of Canvas, Fibreglass, Metal, Aluminium, ABS and PVC. Don't forget the SKIN of our fingers too!!
Not sure whether we can get GOOP here in ACE Hardware, MidValley Megamall or at IKANO Power Centre.
A 110ml tube of GOOP retails for SGD8.90 or approximately RM20.50 in Singapore's HOME FIX DIY Stores.

Lord Wudious, Ryden and fishyahoo
Once you have affixed your Machined Aluminium Greeblie / homemade rubber washer Greeblie to your Imperial Commander' cap, you can guarantee that your cap will look as good as the one that worn by actor Julian Glover in his role as General Veers in TESB ;D

Yeah, I got earring blanks off Multifilla about a month back or so... not very happy as they got only one or two left of the size I wanted and is pretty wobbly and fragile. It is very easy to remove... so, until I get the hat pins off a friend, I'll keep that one to the very very last option. I always like the option of removing the pin/greeblie so that I can pin it to a spare cap while the normal one goes for a quick spin in the washing machine.
