Carrying on with the Series of costumes that potential members of the 501st MALAYSIA-BRUNEI OUTPOST are working , here is the information which the 501st Legion Commanding Officer, Mark Fordham, has posted in the 501st HQ Forums :
An Imperial TIE Fighter Pilot must have the following:
1. Imperial Tie Pilot Helmet – Rubies, Don Post, custom mold helmet (Note : I have omitted some choices that may not be that good, begging your pardon) should include:
1a. Two Imperial cog decals (White or Silver)
1b. Two greeblies (aluminum or custom made) one over each ear. Note the lower one is optional.
1c. Flat or bubble lenses (Green or black)
1d. Holes cut for chest box hoses.
2. Black flight suit
3. Black TIE chest armor with chest box.
Chest box should have the following:
3a. One gray or red (MoM version) square button (on right hand side of white square)
3b. One white over one blue square button (center of Square)
3c. One blue square button (outside of square)
3d. Three rocker switches (Gray, white, Gray color scheme)
3e. One white and red round button (for the top left side of chest box)
3f. Two silver gears (for sides of chest box under the hoses)
3g. One silver greeblie or knurled knob (for bottom of chestbox)
3h. Hoses (Black rubber, plastic or Military helmet air hoses)
4. Two white (or silver) Imperial cog patches – 1 on each shoulder
5. Two black leather gloves (gauntlets)
6. Belt, 2 inch wide black leather. Buckle, silver with greeblie
7. Boots – German Jack, Equestrian, etc. Note, should not have any buckles.
8. Black balaclava or TK style neck seal.
Approved Options
- Silver widow tears painted on face of helmet.
- Silver painted teeth in helmet frown.
- Silver or gunmetal painted chin.
- Silver or gunmetal paint on cheeks between ears and corners of teeth.
- Recessed areas at corners of eves painted silver or gunmetal.
- One quarter of RH cog on helmet cut out resembling a triangle.
- TI # painted on front edge of "mowhawk".
A TIE Pilot should have the following:
(These are recommended, but not required)
- Compad painted with correct colors. Note Magic of the Myth (MoM) version was actually an X-Wing (white) compad.
- Two code cylinders – silver, located on top left shoulder pocket.
A TIE Pilot may have the following:
(These are optional. They are accepted, but not required)
- Blaster – E-11, DH-17, DH-44 or other Imperial issues.
- Holster – Black
The following costume modifications are encouraged:
- Helmet fans – small CPU fans.
- Voice amplifier.
- Black flight suit with correct pocket pattern as seen in the films.
