Greetings my fellow Imperials! And a hello as well to all the Rebel scum lurking here. ;D I know it's been awhile since I last posted but reality did set in for awhile with work and all, it's been a madhouse! Anyhow, I just wanted to share my joy with you on the arrival of my latest and probably final armor acquisition: a set of ANH Trooper Armor [Sandtrooper Version]. This armor is the result of many many years of hard work and research from the God of all things trooper and welll, I'm so stoked to finally own the a piece of that perfection. ;D Just for the record, the previous photos seen of me in armor were of the ROTJ version of the Stormtrooper, reworked and modified, by me, for an ANH look. My latest armor is strictly ANH. Complete with 'thick' armor plated look and sandtrooper kneeplate. This will be the armor I will be wearing at EP3...I am so psyched about it! Well, enough of that, without further delays, I present to you, my latest love: Enjoy the pics...and the fingerprints...I was fondling the armor alot last nite. LOL! My new ANH Stunt with my older CO: Stay safe. Tim. A

Wow, looking good. What material is the armour made from? Is it custom-made to fit your size? Looking forward to pics of you in it ;D Didn't know the Stormtroopers were slightly different between each of the OTC movies...

That's affirmative. In all three movies, there were subtle differences in the detailing, color and overall design specs. While there were three versions 'used', the ESB & ROTJ suits were reconditioned from the ANH Suits. The most obvious difference would be between the ANH [made by AA] and the ROTJ suits [handled by B&N]. Checkout the SW Visual Dictionary, best comparison pics there. Here's another info titbit...Hero Helmets have bubbled lenses and 3 holes per side in the frown. Stunt helmets used flat lenses and have 4 holes per side. Hero Helms were used for closeups [aka Luke and Han's trooper suits], and the Stunt Helms were for 'Stunt' work and background troopers. An excellent example of a Stunt Helm would be the sandtrooper that stops Luke and Ben at Mos Eisley and gets the Jedi Mind trick. ;D Hope this helps... Stay safe. Tim

Wah! I want!
Dremel drill, multi-purpose work bench, a nice uncluttered place to work...only thing lacking is a beautiful female assistane wearing a utility belt to hand you the tools ;D

What will you put behind the frown holes to prevent people from seeing your face through them?
By the way do you happen to have an extra pair of black bubble lens? I bought an old Don Post Stormy helmet long time ago which came without the lenses. Don't intend to wear it, just want to be able to display it...

Just a side note to all the newer costumers and soon to be Imperials... Just me, but there's no greater satisfaction that putting together your own armor. The cut fingers, the dust in the eyes bit, the shaking hands, the long hours, the sweeping up, the sourcing for attachment parts..all seem worthwhile once everything comes together. Stay safe. Tim.

SM, I'll be using black wire mesh doubledover to allow air circulation as well as cover up the frown holes. As for bubbled lenses, sorry bro, I'm all out. I'm currently only using Flat Green Lenses as all of my Trooper Helmets have been Stunts. If I may suggest, why don't you widen the DP eye holes, and go with a more accurate look by installing Flat Lenses BEHIND the eyeholes. Hope this helps.. Tim.
