James, here are the pictures that I taken of the ACTUAL Imperial TIE Fighter Pilot costume prop from the ART OF STAR WARS Exhibition :
Full frontal view of the Imperial TIE Fighter Pilot costume exhibit that showed the CORRECT shape of the Gauntlet Gloves, Boots and Commpad on the Left Sleeve :
(Note : this picture was taken by Plo Strax-Avix with his professional photographer's Digital Camera)
Pictures that I took with my SONY DSC 1 Camera back on 12 December 2005. This picture :
that I took and the one taken by Pol above, shall be you be your GUIDE for you to procure the pair of Black Leather Riding Gloves. Look for one with the flared out Gauntlets covering your wrist up to the Half of your forearms.
Imperial TIE Fighter Pilot BOOTS :
PLUS these supplementary reference pictures of the BOOTS used for the TIE Fighter Pilot costume, which I obtained form the 501st Legion forums :
Please note that the Top Buckle straps on the boots is NOT compulsory to have. This is allowed but not required in the 501st Legion. Such top buckle straps are found on Post WWII East German Jack Boots.
COMMPAD on the Left Sleeve of the Imperial TIE Fighter Pilot costume :
See how part of it is tucked into the Gauntlet of the Left Glove. You should do yours like this.
...and finally a Close Up Shot of the CHEST BOX on the Imperial TIE Fighter Pilot costume prop :

Finally my journey to the Dark Side is complete as Derek Klivian. Well, almost. My ultimate dream is still donning Imperial Biker Scout armor, act as Corporal Avarik / Misik / Oberk / Irol / Barich / Drelosyn (whichever name applies) and teach our local Mat Rempits what a real outrider is. Now awaiting our fellow good friend Julian to complete his own TIE Pilot uniform so that Lord Vader will finally get his 2-men TIE Fighter escort for the impending trench run. P.S:- If I am not mistaken, the only lines uttered by a TIE Pilot in the entire original trilogy is just "Watch out!!!". Sad state of affairs...

that the WHITE COLOR based Commpad on the ART OF STAR WARS Singapore TIE Fighter Pilot is ACTUALLY worn by an X-WING PILOT of the Rebel Alliance!! Oh the BIG MIX-UP and all the misleading info!!!
LOL! Expected. That TIE is from the Magic of the Myth era Exhibitions so costumes put together back then got a lot of inaccuracy. According to one of our troopers, the Stormie us made up of parts from at least 2 movies, ANH and ?? The IRG Forcepike (only for MoM Exhibitions) had been modified to make it look more presentable and rumors had it that certain costumes are wearing Don Post Helmet. And the IRG Gloves was put under the Robe Cuff when it suppose to be over. And the list goes on......
