I'm in the process of getting some TIE pilot costume items. If there's anyone here who is also interested in becoming a TIE Pilot, or is looking for the same item(s), you're welcomed to tag along.
Item # 1 is the Chestbox. If I can get 5 orders I will be able to bring them in for USD65 + shipping per unit. Shipping should be USD10-15 each unit, but that'll need to be determined later. The more I bring in, the cheaper the shipping.
Item # 2 is the Flight Suit. I'm going for the 'almost screen accurate, ready made' version, which is USD 29.97 each + shipping. Again, the more I order the cheaper the shipping. This flightsuit will need to be slightly altered to make it screen accurate, but that shouldn;t be a big problem. In fact I may even be able to get them altered before I send them out to individual buyers.
If there's interest I can help order the gloves & buckle as well. Post here or PM me if you want more information.
When the order is ready to be placed, a 30% deposit can be paid at MySciFiFan Outpost, lot 208ii, 2nd floor(next to cineplex entrance), Cineleisure Damansara, 2A Jalan PJU 7/3, Mutiara Damansara, 47810 Petaling Jaya, Selangor (next to The Curve). Tel. 03 - 77100562.
Add 3% if you wish to pay by credit card.

Hi Pol, The TIE chestbox sure looks cool. Will this be the one you are procuring for my TIE pilot costume? Also, I need to again confirm with you that you've received my first payment? To the rest of you guys, c'mon I need more squadron mates! Zapping rebel scum pilots is only fun when we have a big bunch together (lame excuse to pull in more TIE costumers ). But I can safely say that if you wish to troop as a full-face helmeted villain yet not wishing to burn a hole in your pockets by procuring full-armored costumes (no offence to the TKs and others ), a TIE pilot is one of them apart from a Royal Guard. That's all for today.

The one you'll be getting will be scratch built by me. It'll look very close the the one above, but made from different materials. ;DAlso, I need to again confirm with you that you've received my first payment? Did you not receive the sms I sent confirming that I received your first payment? If you didn't I do apologize. To the rest of you guys, c'mon I need more squadron mates! Actually, its not THAT cheap to be a TIE Pilot. I am providing you with most of the parts for a really good price because I acquired the parts at a lower price, and is passing the savings onto you. Plus I'm doing a lot of the work for you myself. Its not always possible to get the parts at such attractive prices.
However it IS still a lot cheaper then getting a TK armor, or a Vader costume
Not trying to discourage anyone (obviously), but just don't want to give people the wrong perception...

My sincere apologies to Pol for my naiveness! Would really like to take this opportunity to thank you for your kind assistance in my costume.

However it IS still a lot cheaper then getting a TK armor, or a Vader costume Or a Scout Trooper Armor? Ya, my TIE Pilot outfit is a lot cheaper than my Scout even tho' I had certain parts like the Jumpsuit tailored due to my size & height and helmet imported from US and delivered by Global Priority.

Indeed, compared to a lot of the other armoured SW costumes, the TIE Pilot is one of the more affordable ones.
Too bad more people here are not going for this very cool and esthetically appealing costume.

Received my TIE Pilot Torso Armor from Azman (aka Mansugi/Jawaman) recently. This marks the last piece for my TIE Pilot costume. Now all that's left is to get the helmet and Commpad painted, get my scratch-built belt buckle chromed, attache the Imperial disk onto the buckle, and attach the chestbox to the armor.
Ironically, being the first person here to start a TIE Pilot costume, I end up being the last to complete it.
In my defense, its because I've been working on three costumes consecutively. And I'm glad the other two are also very close to completion. ;D
Edit: Just realised that I started this thread almost exactly TWO YEARS AGO! How time flies, and what a long way the Malaysian Star Wars costuming scene has come since then...

Nope, I never got five more takers. Only JDream stepped up to the plate and completed his TIE costume. Another member, Julian, also completed his TIE pilot costume after JDream, with very little help from me.
If you're serious about getting a TIE pilot costume, JDream is selling his entire TIE pilot costume (at a very reasonable and affordable price) in order to get a Biker Scout costume. You can contact him directly to work out a deal.
