G.I. Joe, the upcoming American action film, is a live action adaptation of the "G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero" toy franchise. The film is directed by Stephen Sommers and written by Stuart Beattie. G.I. Joe features an ensemble cast based on the various characters of the franchise. The movie is scheduled to be released on August 7, 2009. Nice!  So you're doing Snake Eyes based on the Cartoon/Comic version? Cause I noticed that the movie one ( cutie Ray Park  ) is total Lenses and the lower half of his face is showing....sort of. |

if im not mistaken parks costume is totaly covered, and his whole visor is a lense. im aiming more on the classic cartoon and dreamwave/image comics

Ya, at first glace Movie Snake-Eyes looked like totally covered but looking at 2 side photos, I noticed that his "mouth" is showing and like the lower half of his face is painted.  img.photobucket.com/albums/v640/idrial/GI_Joe/snake_eye1.jpgThen again, the checkbone looked too defined so it could had been a Mask. Hai....can't wait to see a more Hi-Res version of those photos to confirm. |

Personally, I think it's better to pass judgement after the movie comes out next year. Ya, Street Fighter suck. But then again, IMHO, it never did look that promising either before the movie came out. So far for GI Joe, promising looks is there and we are yet to see if we're proven right or wrong yet.....One man favourite may turned to be another's hate. |

actually games to movies suck more cos of weak story line. but not cartoons to movie, especialy classics like gi joe. and u need to have a good director. but suck or not, its still gijoe, would be a fool not to watch it

Stephen Sommers hardly fit the criteria of a good director. His last good movie was "The Mummy". That was classic! But his follow-ups, "The Mummy Returns" and "The Scorpion King" were hardly earth shattering. Top that off with that piece of turd "Van Helsing". If it was directed by someone with a good record, e.g. Michael Bay or Spielberg or even Bryan Singer, I would have been looking forward to this. But as it is now, I wouldn't be putting high hopes on this one.
