Hi guys, I might not be so knowledgeable in Indy Jones, but I certainly liked the original series better than this new outing. I guess it has something to do with the excessive CGI too, or the "Nuked The Fridge" part where Harrison Ford survives an incredible nuclear explosion by hiding in a lead-lined fridge.
But on a positive side, there are stuff in the movie which might leave the audience wondering about the significance of it - stuff such as why there are "Doom Towns" served for the purpose of nuclear test sites during the height of the Cold War, or the DUKWs that Indy drove, or even the Mitchell-Hedges skull... things which, hopefully, can transform our by-largely-ignorant society into a more well-read one. I remember one father explaining to his adolescent son that the "Doom Towns" were actually museums, hence the presence of so many mannequins! Imagine if the little boy grows up accepting what his father told him as the truth.
BTW, did any of you hear that famous "Wilhelm scream" that appears in all the Indiana Jones' movies (including Young Indy Jones Chronicles) as well as all the Star Wars episodes? That scream can be heard in KOTCS during the motorcycle chase scene, coming from the bespectacled geek in the library that Indy & Mutt almost knocks into LOL.
