Wow, blast from the past! How have you been ftsvd?
I'm helping Jas revive the M'sian ST forum, but not having much luck. Hopefully we can bring back the good old days in the not so distant future...
Will they repeat the numbers later with a prefix at the back? Like NCC1701A etc etc...
My dad's car number has an 'A' at eh back, and I have seen another car with the exact same number, minus the 'A' at the back...

"blast from the past"?!! has it really been that long? anyway, glad to hear that startrek.com.my forum is still around - anticipating it's re-launch! now that i'm (sorta) more stable in my job, it'll be easier for me to pop by on the forums more often... and I'm not sure what their plan is once they reach WZZ, BZZ, PZZ, NZZ, etc... but to loop back again to NCC1701A? *that* might take a few years... or decades...

Will they repeat the numbers later with a prefix at the back? Like NCC1701A etc etc...... I reckon most West M'sia carplate does not end with a suffix (unlike East M'sia) nor ended with a checksum (unlike S'pore). en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malaysian_vehicle_number_plates

Hi Everyone, Thanks to Dr EMH for reminding me to register at this forum to share this with you all. Thank you all, especially Dr EMH and the 2 other fans I met in Spore early this week, for the photos and congratulations on NCC-1701. I'd be humbled and happy to meet all or any of the Klang Valley fans someday to share my experience in my journey of 1701; especially the fan that bid only a few thousand RM less than my bid... in retrospect, I would have loss to him/her if I hesitated with the amount I had submitted (which I definitely did many times you can be sure, especially since everything in our market/economy had gone up recently) Anyway, just a short sharing here - I have always had this obsession with the number 1701 hence I all the cars that I had owned in my lifetime all had 1701 - all in my journey to the ultimate NCC-1701: WJH 1701 (Iswara) WHK 1701 (Nissan Sentra older model) WHX 1701 (Nissan Sentra new and Nissan X-trail) WPB 1701 (Kyron) MAY 1701 (wife's Kenari) NCC 1701 (Kyron) Here's my blog article announcement when I first won the bid: protoproto2.blogspot.com/2008/06/i-won-bid-make-it-so.htmland a few photos I was in the midst of compiling and will be adding in due time. www.flickr.com/photos/23530341@N07/sets/72157607358198326/Well, the feeling is 'different' when I drive the car around but I don't think it's because of the number (unless other drivers are ST fans serious enough to take note). Despite the vehicle being a 'fairly large' turbo diesel SUV, KL and PJ people tend to want to bully non 'W' or 'B' plate vehicles; wanting to show that they are local and 'superior' to any 'out of state' car plates - what more from a small kampung state like Negeri Sembilan. So it is indeed more stressful now for both my wife (MAY 1701) and myself (before this the plate was WPB 1701 - a Wilayah one that other drivers evidently steered clear away) now when we drive our cars !!! Take care and see you all soon. Will announce my Youtube video on NCC-1701 and also when the national press interviews me on this. After all, it is not common that one officially name one's son Riker Si James Tee Kirk and daughter Seven Si Janeway... Make it so Richard Si

You, Mr Si, are mad as a hatter, but cool as hell
I can only think of two other person in Malaysia as mad as you about what they're passionate about...
