Well, I hope this a right category to open this thread...it does say so and if I do make mistake on this...please forgive me... Anyway, has anyone here is interested with any type of cars? Care to share and talk about it? Hope you guys really wouldn't mind about this... Prototype, Stereotype, famous, infamous etc... (lol, not good in writing or telling something technically like this) Your Knowledge-the only thing I know about car...piping, NOS, turbo, why use such big ekzos (how'd you pronounce that in english, please?), engine (juuuuz honda ones), where's the carburetor, spring, suspension, balancing... hmmm...basics lol -wish to know and learn about....well...drag (acceleration) and drift (knows 0% of it) What car you drove and what's you fav/ your pick-I am currently driving Mitsubishi Storm (the latest and the last model right after Triton produce) for a long journey travel, which I love to drive around Malaysia with my family ^.^. Plus safe fuel, Diesel, Banzai~ lol -My fav up til now is still Honda S2000, cuz of it's nice shape and not too too solid looks...juz nice and standard...people often ask me, why won't you go for Nissan Fairlady instead of S2000? I kinda fussy about something, which is...he name turned me down ..."Fairlady" Although I have to admit it, it's one hotwheel you can get other than Ferrari or Porshe -but if talk about speed performance, my pick is Subaru and Mitsubishi evo 7...heard evo 7 performance are better than other evo...or is it evo 6...plus, it's 4WD lol -And talk about 4WD, I like the costum (complete with hunchback or is it the cabinboy style built) Mitsubishi Triton... the first only one yet to be seen last time, back when there's a car exibition back at PWTC...can't fin the pic for it -Lastly, taaaaaalk about car that you will not going to get...the one and only I love is Lamborghini Murcielago... not much I know about cars, so I wish to learn more and share...

Wow, a rocker chick AND a car enthusiast! I like you already!
This is EXACTLY the place to talk about cars. In fact you can talk about ANYTHING not sci-fi/fantasy/anime etc related here, as long as its not too political, religious or sexually explicit ;D
Like most (if not ALL) guys, I love cars. But I haven't been able to get the car I wanted since there are always something else more important to spend the money on.
Well actually if I severely cut down on my collecting (or sell everything in my collection) I can probably get a really nice car. However a car to me right now is just to get from A to B, especially since the fuel price hike last year. Actually I'm seriously thinking about getting a bike to do all the running around which don't require a car, like paying bills, pick up/deliver small items etc.
Anyway back to cars. I currently (and have been for the last 8 years) drive a Nissan AD Resort. The body is quite beat up now because I didn't bother to do anything to it, due to the fact that I want to give it a total face lift sometime in the future. I've already bought the 4-spotlight version of the front bumper, side skirts, and a back cover with built-in spoiler (all original Nissan parts). Just waiting for the right time to install and respray the whole car, and reupholster the interior.
The engine is kept at optimum performance, and since its a 16 valve 1.6 DOHC, it can outrun a lot of other cars on the road. I'm currently doing some research to find out if I can fit the engine with a super charger. I heard that you can't fit a supercharger on a carburetor engine, but I know a lot of older American muscle cars fitted with supercharger have carburetor engines. Initially I wanted to go with Turbo, but I used to have a Dailatsu Charade Turbo and its frustrating to wait for the Turbo to kick in. With supercharger there's no lag time. It goes as soon as you take your foot off the clutch.
Also thinking of installing wider tires at the back to make it look more 'Hot Rod', but might be a problem when I get a puncture tyre
If I were to get another car I think it'll be the Toyota Hilux Vigo. But I won't get a new one. I'll get a two to three year old 2nd hand one and change the engine to a 3KZ-TE (3.0L Turbo Diesel).
Here's a cool site to learn about Toyota engines: ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/stepho/engcodes.htm
My dream car used to be the H2, but now its the GMC Topkick aka Iron Hide ;D
For sedan-type cars, I'll go for the Shelby GT 500 Eleanor Mustang. It serves 2 purposes: As a frigging fast Muscle Car, and a movie prop from Gone In 60 Seconds
Here's a Top Gear review of the GT500 Eleanor: www.youtube.com/watch?v=MopDQYVW2JI
A guy can dream right?

Hmm... I thought we were bikers, Master Plo?
Anyway, when talking about cars... I'm not really knowledgeable about these 4-wheeled machines. I drive a cute little silver Perodua Kelisa 1.0 DOHC that has taken me to almost all of the peninsular states (Kedah, Penang, Perlis, Kelantan, Terangganu, Pahang, Perak, Selangor, KL, N9)... It's a wonderful little car that I use every day and for almost everything!
Another car that I used to drive (my mom uses it now) is a Proton Saga 1.5i Automatic. Quite a ride, considering it's almost 20 years old! This old baby needs some serious maintenance job... and a makeover!
Now, if I were given the chance to pick a car, it'll be the Mazda Lantis. An older model, but I think it's a classic. The lines still seem modern even after all these years... I haven't tried driving one yet, but I'm sure it's worth it...
Secondly, I'd like a Mercedes Benz C200 Kompressor... 'Nuff said
For offroad and utility, I'll have to go with the Ford Ranger... I've driven one and fell in love with it.
But just for the fun of it...
But seriously, I still prefer this:
How's that for starters, Tetra?

Hmm... I thought we were bikers, Master Plo? That was another lifetime...Left my bike in Canada, remember?
But like I mentioned, I might just get a bike in the near future

Diamond black with red light? Sounds cool! I've seen some cars with those lights... but lights under the car are just not my cup of tea...

The GMC's too big for me, Master Plo! I prefer slim, sleek lines...
