Not sure if this is the right forum, but it's a blade-related question so. I figured someone might have tried to bring in one of those LOTR Noble House collectibles... hell, Shiok Toyz has Legolas' twin blades... Will Customs give me trouble if I try to ship in an ornamental katana? (dull blade, but otherwise looks the part. I got it for my Rukia cosplay awhile back.) Long story short, I left it with a friend in the US and now I want to ship it back in a crate of personal effects. However, I dimly remembered that there are certain weapons that can't be brought into the country. If ornamental katana are among them I may just tell my friend to keep it; I'd rather it stay with her than risk having it confiscated and left to rot in a Customs shed. Thanks in advance for any advice!

I figured someone might have tried to bring in one of those LOTR Noble House collectibles... hell, Shiok Toyz has Legolas' twin blades... You meant United Cutlery ( majority of the LOTR Swords, all shields, Helmets) or Noble Collection ( only about 4-6 major characters swords & weapon)

Rey's Legolas etc were from UC. Though he had some 300 items from Windlass too.
Generally unless you know someone in the Department itself or are willing to ah... help them a little in their cause... they tend to compound/keep it if they happen to open the box. Most of the time, they tend to open fairly large/heavy boxes with almost unholy glee. Bah!

Thought I'd revive this thread as I have some new info to share.
I ordered this a few weeks ago from a local shop here and just picked it up yesterday:
Not the best quality, but good enough for display and for cosplaying.
I nearly picked up a Hadhafang sword as well, but the finishing of the etched Elven runes are smudged, so I ask them to bring in another one to see if it'll be better.
There's also a Strider sword complete with sheath, and the dagger that goes on the sheath. Didn't get it coz its slightly warped.
The shop has a wide selection which is too numerous to list. A friend who's into Anime told me one of the sword they have in stock is from Bleach. The sword resembles a Katana and has a black blade.
If anyone is looking for anything in particular please PM me and I can find out if they have it in stock, or if they can order it. Any order placed will require a 20% deposit.
