Not sure if this is the right forum, but it's a blade-related question so. I figured someone might have tried to bring in one of those LOTR Noble House collectibles... hell, Shiok Toyz has Legolas' twin blades...
Will Customs give me trouble if I try to ship in an ornamental katana? (dull blade, but otherwise looks the part. I got it for my Rukia cosplay awhile back.) Long story short, I left it with a friend in the US and now I want to ship it back in a crate of personal effects.
However, I dimly remembered that there are certain weapons that can't be brought into the country. If ornamental katana are among them I may just tell my friend to keep it; I'd rather it stay with her than risk having it confiscated and left to rot in a Customs shed. Thanks in advance for any advice!
Rey's Legolas etc were from UC. Though he had some 300 items from Windlass too.
Generally unless you know someone in the Department itself or are willing to ah... help them a little in their cause... they tend to compound/keep it if they happen to open the box. Most of the time, they tend to open fairly large/heavy boxes with almost unholy glee. Bah!
