Shown with landing gears deployed. I'm still working on this thing. Its still far away from being painted. Let me know what ya guys think

Very cool. Did you make the B-27? Was it modified from a standard issue X-wing model kit?
What's the scale of the B-27?

Hi there ;D Sorry to dissapoint, the B-27 is 1/1 scale. landing gear alone is 5' tall. Its a 3d model rendered from computer. Thats how we keep the costs down. It is an all original design, not made from scraps of X-Wing ;D It has hundreds of parts and more are coming. It will be functional as well. R2 gets in from below and there is a retractable ladder on the left for the pilot. An ejection seat is in the works. I'm sorry I didn't explain earlier that this is a CG model BTW R2 in the (astromech socket) was downloaded. He was made by someone else. Once I finish the B-27, I'll make my own R2. The R2 in the picture can't do anything sadly The B-27 is not intended to look cool. It is in fact intended to look like bits of stuff fixed together for the flying junk look. Because in the script it is a 10year old fighter which is a 10th generation evolution of T-65 X-Wings. The Fan Film will have other Fighters, and much more modern and sleeker designs for the Good guys and bad guys. But it must have some of these blocky junks to even out the art. Thanks for the interest

Because in the script it is a 10year old fighter which is a 10th generation evolution of T-65 X-Wings. Spacecrafts with 'bits of stuff fixed together' are THE coolest stuff. That's the reason why the OT still has a hard core, cult-like following 30+ years on. Stuff in the OT look believable, because they look like they could actually work, and have been used on a regular basis, instead of looking like showroom pieces.
I suggest you keep the 'modern and sleeker design' to a minimal, because that's exactly what made the PT a flop-in the eyes of a hard core OT fan anyway

Hi, thanks. I have to absolutely agree with you. The art direction for this movie is based on the OT, The Dark Knight, Robocop 1 and various Japanese Mechs like Front Mission. And for the sleeker designs, we will reference real world objects like modern jet fighters with fiery afterburners. We want to make the world believable in everyway. But anything military, will be blocky. Thats how it is ;D We will stay away from transformers stuff I personaly prefer the G1 Prime a million times more than the new movie prime
