Nice tv spots indeed. nice fx, some awkward dialogue though... "Anakin, you're breaking my heart?" *sheesh*

you didn't think they'd do away with the romantics of EpII now, did you ?

There was a Bollywood style 'romp in the hill' !!!

There was a Bollywood style 'romp in the hill' !!! I have seen the movie, SaberMaster.. was just being sarcastic.. So you were reminded of Bollywood eh? I kept seeing "The Sound of Music" in that scene..dunno why.. Ol' George really bungled on the blossoming-romance aspect in that one, didn't he? *sighs* let's hope he makes up for it in the "darkening" of Anakin come May 19

Actually, and seriously, i think the romance element has a lot of subtext and worth giving a thought too. watching some of the extra stuff on EpII DVD and i'm beginning to respect each and everyperson involved on SW and every aspect of the stories.

Well actually the romance part is necessary or else how can there be Luke & Leia later on? I think what we wish for was something more 'sacred' and 'respectable' from GL instead of the cheesy 'romp-in-the-hill', 'Sound Of Music' treatment. Han & Leia had romance in the OT as well but their interaction was very subtle and classy, much like how it was done in great movies like 'Gone With The Wind' & Casablanca'.
You don't have to show 2 person all over each other to demonstrate that they're in love or are engaged in a relationship. I think that's what most fans are complaining about.

hmmm ... we could start a whole thread just discussing this. i think the romance in AOTC was suppose to look "teeny", more explicit, intense and probably even pretentious. that's how forbidden love works. its not suppose to happen, or at least happens at a wrong time. Anakin is too immature and impulsive for it, but Padme is so taken in by this rush of feelings. its more emotionally-driven and lacks logic and reasoning. which leads to Anakin's confusion over his feelings and the path to the dark side starts. we MUST start a new thread if we are to continue this
