solution to that would be to get one of those cheap DVD players sold at hypermarkets. they're usually all region-free. or even if your branded player that has a region lock, just do a litle search on Google and you will be sure to find the unlocking method. that's what my friend did on his Philips player when we couldn't play the Region 1 OT DVDs that I brought to watch. it just involves some key press combinations on the remote control that's all.

...because I'm not going to buy a Prequel boxset with the existing Episode I and Episode II DVD - I already have it. That's why I didn't bother to buy the Episode I and II DVDs, because I want to get the box set ;D

Plo-Strax-Avix, u have no problem playing the DVD here? The price is cool but i dont wanna end up with a non playing DVD, had bad xperiences with region 1 DVDs b4.. I've had no problem so far with my Philips DVD player. It played whatever DVDs I fed into it...from region 1 to 10...he he he ;D
Didn't do anything to it either from the time I opened the box and plugged it in till now...

I just hope that Lucas won't do what Peter Jackson did with LOTR's DVD box set. First he released 2 disks editon per episode. Then later he released the 4 disk set per episode. Sheeesh... But somehow I have an inkling that he's inevitably gonna go and release the super-ultimate-critereon-collection box set for all the episodes just as Edge speculated Sigh...

You know, he might actually do just that. Its not the Power Of The Force here, but rather the POWER OF MONEY $$$$

One just wonders how many of those DELETED Scenes will be incorporated into this Official DVD release. I'm looking forward to watch the scene where the voice of Liam Neeson communicates with Yoda...

Oh. Looking forward to that scene. How about the one where several of the senators including Mon Mothma gathered to form the Rebel Alliance?

did the shooting of the scene of Qui-Gon Yoda take place ? I recall hearing on Star Wars EnDirect that Neeson could not make it to the shooting of that scene due to a motorcycling accident. they did a voice recording of him instead.

They did a voice recording of him instead. I was specifically referring to the VOICE RECORDING of Liam Neeson as voice of Qui Gon-Jinn from the netherworld of the Force communicating with Yoda. In the movie this voice was blotted out and we only saw Yoda looking into the emptiness of space when he was actually communicating with his deceased apprentice. However, the Comic Book adaptation of SW Episode III : ROTS did capture this scene.
