Egad! that's getting very scary!!! But i still think it's not quite possible for we need to locate: a) dark matter/energy; or b) find a way to make a really small particle accelerator in order to get THAT much of energy! unless there's another method!

Maybe WWIII will be the catalyst for inventing the Warp Drive? Remember the atomic bomb was rushed to completion during WWII. Without WWII maybe we still won't have atomic/nuclear power today...
Scarty thought indeed, but like the saying goes, 'Necessity is the mother of all inventions'

POl, As i recall my history, uncle Albert told the US that Nazi was capable of building an A Bomb. But that was meant as a WMD. Just wondering how would Warp Drive fit in? Another WMD done in a different way???

Yes the Germans & the Americans were competing against each other to build an Atomic bomb during WWII. The Americans perfected it first, and changed the course of hostory.
If WWIII comes, the Warp Drive maybe the only thing that can preserve the human race, as the earth may no longer be inhabitable, because today's weapons of mass destruction is a lot more fearsome then the A Bomb.

Wonder if my Nissan Sunny can cope with a warp drive? You'll first need to scrape together enough titanium to encapsulate the interior of your Nissan Sunny ;D
