but if you CAN visit us and you CAN'T change anything, why bother to travel??? When u travel thru time, u r just a "traveller" ... i.e. a tourist shouldn't interfere the current affairs of the host country u visited ... so u shouldn't mass with the timeline of the current reality, rite? Tell that to Biff Tannen.

personally i believe there are many alternate timelines ... when someone travel thru time and make even slight changes, the timeline he is in will be skew towards another timeline (as explained by Back To The Future, and VOY episode Year Of Hell), he will no longer be back to original timeline even when he return to current time.
So I strongly believe in Temporal Prime Directive ... all time-travel technology advanced species shouldn't mass with time! ;D
