Its a great game isn't it? When I first started to play Jedi Academy it was a PC CD version, just after the game got exited somewhere in the dune planet where there is a giant worm, my computer got jam and won't play, I got so frustrated. It just doesn't play after that, I discover that it might be because there are programs running behind while the game is on.
So eventually I have bought xbox console and bought the xbox game version and manage to finish the game. It was much better than computer no problem at all.
Then I played KOTOR I & II, finished them both too. Hopefully there will be KOTOR III or similar of these types.
What I really like about these games is that you get to live in their world and experience their technology, the adventure, their different climate, lifestyle, creatures, landscape, buildings etc. and KOTOR gives a lot of back ground history plus you can pause the game, view if from different angle and plan your move automatically, also you can talk to characters and influenced them.
Although I find Jedi Academy a bit too fast pace sometimes and you got to move your fingers frantically, but their planetory locations and missions are great. Plus you can sense all living things and droids, and the presence of enemy behind walls and in hiding ;D

Yea... that's the best. To know where your foes are without them knowing you are there. So far, there is no news of a KOTOR 3 but I'm hoping too that there will be one in the near future. It would be nice if they decided to create a game that eventually ends with your character fighting in the Battle of Ruusan, the site of the Valley of the Jedi. With all that lightsabers clashing and all the Sith and Jedi using the force... It must have been an impressive fight. ;D ;D ;D
all those games are one of the best in star wars gaming universe. Jedi Academy is action packed, sure gives a new way to play FPS. But the KoTOR series has great storyline (thought not having played KoTOR II, I can't speaking for it)
i'm renting KOTOR 1 due to the fact stated above. dealing with the third task right now; though i'm taking a quick break. any tips?
when I played kotor I, initially I thought it might be difficult so I also bought prima game guides for KOTOR I, but after a while it seems quite easy as you can save the game at any point of time and you can try out any move if it doesn't work out satisfactorily & can always try again.
After I finished the whole game, I have tried to replayed the game again differently and make different choices and it end up differently. I still remember having a difficult time facing the sand people and darth bandon, but after you became more familiar with the game controls its not a problem, just strategize your move its not that difficult.
you can either buy prima official game guides or check out the following link, they also sells guides but you can get free walkthroughs at the bottom of the webpage where you can see 'KOTOR FAQs and walk throughs' choose one that's suitable to download.(the one from widgeon infantry 133K is not bad)
