Malay publication is similiar to cetak rompak!!! hahahahaa... and i've seen RK in both Chinese and malay publications. Somehow, it's QA is quite bad, printing wise. Comparing to what Viz prints, but of course, you pay a bundle for it! But i DO know that Viz got Watsuki to "touch up" for their print, hence the better looking drawings and all... That would be nice Zan... i'll page ya my addy... anytime soon you coming down to KL?

NoOo.. being an avid reader of the Malay publications for the past 10+ years, I object to that. *bangs fist on PC table multiple times* I've seen the comics in their Japanese manga form and they're just similar. (recently got access to a Japanese club library.. hehe) Paper..depending on publisher.. some publishers use nice, slightly better quality paper... but the translations are rubbish. So I usually go for how well they translated the comic. So far, Comic House is the best. *thumbs*
Unless there's going to be some big event in KL, I won't be going down till I start uni (!?) I hope there'll be an education fair which I guess would be around the time the SPM/STPM results come out so I can take advantage of planning a trip though.

My dear, they are ... coz no licenses were paid to the original japanese publishers. the same principle applies to our manga vcd's/dvd's from the anime shops. they LOOK ori but they are NOT ori coz again, no licenses were paid!!!
BUT our gov this they ARE ori!!! but in actual fact, they are not. it's just done so well, that not many are aware of this issue!

Maybe for some, but the comics by Comics House has individual ISSN for each volume, and the translation is done by a company in Japan, Shueisha Inc, and there's a 'Hakcipta Terpelihara' on the front and back cover as well as the back page. Having a license to print it as well.
The ISSN tells all... Yes, it's the ISSN. Behold the ISSN...

hmmmm... then i stand corrected!
anyway, when you're down here, i could let you have a look on the book and see whether the drawings are better or not... but the Viz version is bigger in printing size, or so i gather when i compare the books in Kino. Translation, according to Viz is done by them, and it definately goes very well with the drawings... altho i belive Kishimoto's drawing sometimes leave me quite confused!!!

Ho ho.. Sure thing. I look forward to it.. and I don't mind having a look at all the books. Ho ho!
Confused? How? I noticed that some mangakas uses a lot of puns in their work.. When it isn't translated well, that part of the story won't make sense.

One other thing about the BM version of Naruto. When Naruto and Konohamaru uses the Sexy no Jutsu, their female forms wear a body suit and the 'details' have been rubbed out.. I could only compare how much detail there were with the fan-translates English version.

Ho ho.. Sure thing. I look forward to it.. and I don't mind having a look at all the books. Ho ho! hehe... Naruto, now only @ book 8! as i said, very the slow... *sigh* nor probs. Confused? How? I noticed that some mangakas uses a lot of puns in their work.. When it isn't translated well, that part of the story won't make sense. Not that. his drawings leave me quite confused as to what is he trying to tell me. this only happens during the fighting sequences... there's a lot of "tak tak tak" and what have you... and then it takes me a while to figure it out!!! Translation by Viz is great. That i have no issue...

Loooooooong way more for english version i think! for book 8, now only single to single fight, with naruto's individual fight coming up in book 9!

Oh, the Sexy no Jutso is the first jutsu used.. in Book 1, Chapter 1 - when he was supposed to transform into Iruka, and then in Chapter 2 - when Konohamaru has learned the skill and transforms to defeat Ebisu, but fails so Naruto does the Kage Bunshin no Jutso and then uses Sexy no Jutsu and all the girls crowded around him and embraced him ..
