Has anyone been watching Justice League Unlimited?
It has to be the best written animated series on the air now, but apparently Cartoon Network isn't treating it well. After taken off air during mid-season since last year in the US, word is out that it's finally cancelled, before they begin airing the rest of the season.
Thanks to the CN Toonami in the UK, new episodes are now being shown.
I haven't seen last week's, but the week before that 'The Great Brain Robbery", where Lex Luthor and the Flash switch minds, is so funny I was falling off my chair laughing watching it even for the second time.
Great funny lines: "Are you going to wash your hands?" "No.... because I'm evil."
"Question my plan at your own peril!!!! Uh.... any questions?"
"Am you Bizarro's mommy?"
And the best part was, of course, because of the mind switch Lex Luthor is temporarily voiced by Michael Rosenbaum (who plays Lex on Smallville, but the Flash in JLU and Kid Flash in Teen Titans).
Next up: "Grudge Match", but that's not what I'm wating for.
I'm more stoked about the next episode "Far From Home" where Supergirl, Green Lantern and Green Arrow travel to the 30th century to meet my favourite DC Comics super team ever: The Legion of Super-Heroes.

I recall watching Justice League on Sat mornings. It got replaced by Justice League Unlimited right? Haven't really followed much of JLU, maybe one episode only. But caught which a few episodes of Justice League and quite enjoyed them eventhough the multiple episode stories were somewhat annoying because I'd often missed them due to something happening or other (or forgetfulness).
Good story lines and character development compared to most cartoons. Caters to older 'adult' audiences as well as the kids. Traditionally I'd prefer Marvel hero cartoons like X-Men and Spiderman but these DC cartoons are very good too, including Batman (haven't seen Superman yet).

I tune into Cartoon Network looking for other shows like Samurai Jack, X-Men Evolution and once in a while I catch Justice League, but I don't know which is which...I mostly catch it early evenings during weekdays...its the one with Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Hawk Girl, Green Lantern and that Alien character John something...is that the regular JL or is that JLU?

Justice League Unlimited is actually the third season of Justice League after their orbital base Watchtower was destroyed in the Thanagarian Invasion. They went from the seven founding members to dozens of heroes from every corner of the DC Universe.
Although it's for children, some scenes are barely suited for kids, like Fire flirting with Flash in "I Am Legion", and Supergirl and Galatea violently beating the crap out of each other in "Panic in the Sky". Characterization and voice acting are fantastic, and plot development (apart from several dud episodes, like last week's "Grudge Match") is very well done.

Ah now I remember...watched one episode in which they battled an AI which kept replicating itself...
Atom saved the day eventually...
Caught an episode of 'Static Shock' yesterday which saw Green Lantern making a guest appearance...

That was the episode I was trying to catch on TV, but I missed unfortunately, because it was written by Warren Ellis, who wrote Planetary and Global Frequency, both fantastic comic books.
Yeah, the "Timm-verse" (because of Bruce Timm) as they call it, began with Batman the Animated Series, continued with Superman the Animated Series, Batman Beyond, Static Shock, Justice League and Justice League Unlimited.
Teen Titans and The Batman are in different worlds of their own althought they're DC toons.

Followed it faithfully till it dropped out of sight towards the end of '05, did it not? Last eppy I viewed was "To Another Shore", wasn't that the one with the Viking Prince? Agree that Cartoon Network's messing up of the screening schedule and now cancellation of the series is preventing the creators from giving this series the proper, galactic sending-off season finale that it deserves... Found the Toonami UK screened episodes on a few torrent sites, will be dwnloading it soon.. look forward to that Flash-Lex Luthor switcheroo episode myself ;D Heard the rumour that the season finale will involve Darkseid? And aren't they prepping for the Legion animated series right after JLU concludes? You reading the latest incarnation of the LOSH, Hisham, as written by Mark Waid & illustrated by Barry Kitson? Think the TPB is out, though I haven't seen it at Kinokuniya, could have sold out I suppose..

Heard the rumour that the season finale will involve Darkseid? And aren't they prepping for the Legion animated series right after JLU concludes? I heard both rumours. A trip to Apokolips would be awesome, especially if they include the New Gods in the fray. Orion's already in the JLU. He saw some action in "Flash And Substance", the episode after "To Another Shore". I would also gladly welcome a LSH animated series. And from the end credit clips, I hope it's the silver age LSH as opposed to the post-Zero Hour or post-Reboot Legion, i.e. it's "Lightning Lad" instead of "Livewire", or "Sun Boy" instead of "Inferno".

Here are some of the end credits screen cap with the LSH. L-R: Cosmic Boy, Saturn Girl, Colossal Boy, Lightning Lad and Phantom Girl. Between Kara & John, top to bottom: Shadow Lass and Colossal Boy; the other side of Kara, clockwise from top left: Cosmic Boy, Saturn Girl, Phantom Girl, Blok, Wildfire?, Timber Wolf, Bouncing Boy, Chameleon Boy and Lightning Lad.
