Agreed in view of the necessary overheads that we need to incur individually as well as multiplying them by 2.32! Ugh!

PLEASE wear your SW Costumes to the Exhibition to keep us inside people entertained. ;D Back during the LOTR one, it was SOOOO Boring as the only people dressing up and staying around is my LOTR Team and 4 Japanese Tourist ( my friend Julia in US also met them and the famous Taiwanese Legolas said she had also met them in NZ during ROTK Premiere). Okay there is 1 local I think in some crappy Gandalf Costume but he just disappeared and wasn't that visitors friendly. Of course, the moment we discovered the extra Ringwraiths costumes in the office, we drag it downstair and the 2 tall guys in our group took turn to wear it to entertain/scare visitors that one time, there was even a minor accident!

Oh! Don't you think that the MySciFiFan STAR WARS Costumed Contingent members who are coming to Singapore for this ART OF STAR WARS Exhibition won't want to wear our STAR WARS Character costumes? Oh course we DO! ;D we DO! ;D
Before we get CARRIED AWAY with ALL this enthusiam, can you PLEASE CONFIRM whether this is ALLOWED by the Organisers in the first place? Since they were already pretty anal about NOT ALLOWING Cameras and Video Cams, I'm CONCERN that they might NOT even want visitors to be dressed in something similar to the Props and Costumes that they are displaying to be wandering around the premises of SCC, out of fear that we could have somehow NICKED the exhibits out and put them on! ;D
Please provide your views on this CONCERN here.
Thanks!

Oh, please do find out about the costume allowance! Though I suppose it would be the biggest compliment to any of us if we got held up for 'stealing' props or costumes, and we get someone to run in and show them that the exhibits are still there! Let's hope they don't have a 'detain first, questions later' policy there. ;D Go as burned Anakin, Master?! I won't mind if there's an actual medical capsule I could use... I don't want to be dropping skin all over the place. Anything happens to me and it's bye bye, Vader!

Hmmm....the last I heard, stuffs will be behind glass cabinets and we will get anal as usual over the exposed items. ;D Anyway, I don't see why they will ban visitors from wearing costumes or armor to the exhibition unless it's very, very crowded or something, and kids keep running after the person till they knock into the glass display & hurt themselves. We are not Disneyland/World and imposing that ban will be stabbing ourselves in the foot. Seriously, " Outside the Costuming Group whose members knows each other directly or indirectly", local fans are not as brave as us to wear their SW costumes to almost anywhere so there is little chance for a new rule that ban visitors from wearing costumes to the exhibition get implanted. ;D So why worry now?

The MySciFiFan STAR WARS Costumed Contingent or ppl hired by the organizers to wear STAR WARS Costumes? Sorry I didn't catch your point here.

Yeay! ;D This is great news indeed. But *sniff..sniff* about the no-photos prohibition, that kinda takes some of the fun away. Looks like I won't be having any photographic proof to show to the people back in Bolehland. Ahh...but I digress. Anyhoo...VKKF1977's inquiry has a point. If the MySciFiFan Costume Contingent is going there as a group(which I hope we do ), it would be a great help if we could know a rough estimation of what the trip is gonna cost. Accomodation, transport, food and etc..etc, so we can start saving up now.

Can you please clarify a bit more regarding : "Outside the Costuming Group whose members knows each other directly or indirectly" Who are you referring to as this Costuming Group? I was refering to Singapore ones lah! Us costumers belonging to the SW FanForce Singapore, Movie Mania & 501st plus our friends. Even when I advertise to the local Cosplayer, very few replied and zero did finally join us on the final day for ROTS. The only "full" cosplayer who joined us is actually our friend who was also my LOTR Group Sam. But *sniff..sniff* about the no-photos prohibition, that kinda takes some of the fun away. Looks like I won't be having any photographic proof to show to the people back in Bolehland. Ahh...but I digress. I sense it's LFL new policy as the one that was in Italy also have the same policy after the Opening Nite which was by Invitation only. Initially thot it's due to the Japanese Company in charge of it policy but maybe not. Anyway, I did told my contact that we should have something that visitors can take photos with since for LOTR we have 2 ( Scaling Interactive and the Argonath outside) and maybe even costumed talents on certain dates. When I meet him again soon, gonna get him to try get at least a proper "Toy Package" Booth like those seen at CII, DC ComicCon '02, DC Comic Con '04(??) and CIII set up outside the exhibition hall or come worse, those standee where you stick your head inside the face like what we had for the last major exhibition there. Stay tune and pray it'll happen!
