I was refering to Singapore ones lah! Us costumers belonging to the SW FanForce Singapore, Movie Mania & 501st plus our friends. Ah that's clearer now! ;D Yes I tend to agree that you guys are really an AVID bunch since I did join Reno's Movie Mania and Tim's 501st for the STAR WARS Charity Premiere on 16 May 2005. Perhaps the MySciFiFan STAR WARS Costumed Contingent can MEET UP and JOIN FORCES with you costumers INCLUDING the SW FanForce Singapore during the Art of STAR WARS exhibition? Please let us know IF you guys have ANY PLANNED or SCHEDULE appearances! ;D Well the situation ain't any better here. We only have one member, that is the President of the Malaysian Cosplayer Underground joining us on the 21st May 2005 STAR online screening of ROTS as well as the 23rd May 2005 screening when you were here with us. He is the "Imperial Star Destroyer" in the pic below, next to RhydenThat being the case, Haldir, we can say that the COAST is CLEAR for the MySciFiFan STAR WARS Costumed Contingent members to attend this ART OF STAR WARS Exhibition in Singapore's Science Center in our FULL STAR WARS Costumed Glory. That is until you keep us NOTIFIED of a last minute NEW Policy by the organisers that DISALLOWS STAR WARS Costumed Visitors!

No need to stick head here and there lah... being in costume, we're ALREADY the characters! ;D Joining the Singaporean costuming sector will be most fun... we shall see if our photo-taking/re-enactment time exceeds the exhibit-viewing time itself. What can we expect in place of the Argonath this time? *starts speculating*

i think the most important aspects of the trip is:
a) accomodation (if we stay in hotel, weekdays offer cheaper rates) b) transportation (do we go by bus or train or drive?) c) what dates are we going?
Once we've solved the 2 most main issues (dates not that important as well all sorta know when!), the rest should be easier to move along...

Once we've solved the 2 most main issues (dates not that important as well all sorta know when!), the rest should be easier to move along... For (a), best decent deal SGD50 per night per person on twin-sharing, including breakfast and newspaper. For (b), suggest drive as lowest cost option with at least 3 people per car. Costuming group will also be carrying too much stuff for public transport. However, I'm worried about bringing anything high-end along because Customs on either side might get itchy. Date, TBA.

a) accomodation (if we stay in hotel, weekdays offer cheaper rates) There's this hotel call 'New 7th Storey Hotel' on Rochor Road, very near PARCO Bugis Junction and the infamous Bugis Street.
They have hostels with 2 bunk-beds, each bed costing only S$17/person/night.
Only thing is they're always fully booked, so have to make booking months before hand.

Hi everyone, I'm new here. I found my way here when I googled Star Wars Exhibition in Singapore ! It will be exciting if you are all really coming to Singapore ! Singapore Science Centre is working closely with www.starwars.sg to promote the exhibition, and new information about the event will be released on the website over the next week, as soon as Singapore Science Centre sends over the information . One thing for sure, there will be quite a few contests that will be run where free tickets to the exhibition can be won . If you are all coming to Singapore, and would like www.starwars.sg to do a feature on you, you can also contact the webmasters and I'm sure it will make a great story with our Malaysian friends coming over in costume for the exhibition ! I sure will look forward to that !

I first came across your website when Desmond Soh (TI5850) who is also our forum member posted the link here. We are truly honored by your presence.
Your website has done an excellent coverage on all the STAR WARS related events in Singapore esp. the STAR WARS Charity Gala on 16 May 2005 - you would have spotted me as one of the Red Royal Guards on the front row, left.
At this moment, as you can see we are on the planning stage in deciding WHEN will be best time to come down to the Singapore Science to see this much anticipated ART OF STAR WARS event. We the MySciFiFan STAR WARS Costumed Contingent TRULY excited about the idea of donning our respective STAR WARS Character costume and heading for the SSC as soon as the doors are opened for the day and will only leave the premises when its time to close! ;D If you know of whether there are ANY Singapore STAR WARS costumed groups in your forums planning ANYTHING BIG in conjunction with this Exhibition, please let us know here. Thanks!

It's great to know that you were one of the Red Royal Guards at the Gala Charity Premiere of EPIII in Singapore . From the crowd's standpoint, the Red Royal Guards were really stunning ! Good job there ! Yes, I will certainly keep you posted with regards to any big costuming event in conjunction with the Exhibition. We are still in talks with Singapore Science Centre and are helping them plan the fringe events for the fans. We'll keep in touch, and if you are coming down in costume , we would definitely want to be there to interview you and to do a photo feature on the MySciFiFan STAR WARS Costumed Contingent . It will be our honour to have you all grace the occasion !

Hi, do you mean you'll be driving all the way into Singapore (for Peninsula Malaysia costumers)? I read/heard some time back that S'pore is relaxing its SGD30.00 driving charge(for M'sian cars), I think it's like free for certain days in a year or so....(per car/driver...not remember very clearly)...
Second question: Does the costume contingent appearing at events have strict rules on screen-accurate costumes? Or can a costumer with say 80% accuracy join as well (thinking about my future costume...ehehe) as long as it "looks" familiar/recognisable/accurate enough to the general public(not to costumers of course!)? Thanks & sounds like fun! Hope all goes well!
