Peter I think ur next costume must be slave girl Leia... so that when u go costuming u can have a slave girl following u around & fixing ur amour when it falls off LOL hahah LOL Thanks for your feedback Allen. I suppose you meant that I should HAVE a Slave Girl Leia following me around around to fix parts of my Stormie armor that falls off along the way when I troop! If you happen to know ANYONE ( ONLY please) who FITS the bill please don't hesitate PM me. HehehUr right shoulder piece also comes of when u raise ur arm as well as the waist bracket belt... from behind it looks like its below the waist line.... like a hip hop-baggy-jeans style trooper heheh!! Looks like a lot of mods b4 Movie Carnival huh !! eheh Good Luck!! Allen, I AGREE regarding the Shoulder Armor Bells "conveniently" detaches itself from the Bicep armor when I raise or move either arms. Looking at the pics I've IDENTIFIED the cause of the hip-hop baggy style trooper look as the obvious MIS-alignment between the front and back torso armor that cause the velcro-ed belt to come loose, with each movement.
I'll ADD these to my Stormtrooper Armor Maintenance MUST DO CHECKLIST and get it done way BEFORE MOVIE CARNIVAL 2007 since there will be very little/NO interval in between my appearance days to FIX what is not right with my Armor. Furthermore, I anticipate that the Venue will be more congested, with bigger crowd and MORE MOVEMENTS compared to the scarce crowd in the casual stroll that we just had in BSC on 20 April 2007.
Feel FREE to give me your SAME feedbacks again AFTER you have observed my trooping pics taken during the forthcoming MOVIE CARNIVAL 2007. After my corrective adjustments I should be well on my OWN and expect to experience little / none of the "boo-boos" that you've highlighted. ;D

SITH_OverLORD, would u accept some word of advice from a "veteran" armourer? In medieval armour (European as well as Japanese) the pauldron (or shoulder bells as u stormies put it) is always secured by a strap around the upper arm, outside the upper canon of the vambrace (the bicep armour). That'll secure it in place. I have this configuration for all my armoured suits - the 16th century Gothic, the Samurai, even King Maniaka of Anike has it! (come to think of it, all of my previous costumes were armoured! ;D)
U can make the strap from a piece of white elastic with some velcro at the end to attach it to the opposite side of the bell. If you want to go for the "IMPS" look, maybe you can try leather with a nice metal buckle (please refer to impstherelentless.com/tek9.asp?pg=teaser)Another alternative would be to have some sort of elastic attachment where the current velcro is. I think that after a long tour of troopings, the velcro would need replacement.
I seem to notice a piece of black velcro on your lower back. Is that where the belt is supposed to go? It was not attached there on that day... I would suggest replacing all the old, worn velcro fastenings with fresh new ones... And DO get contact lenses, as u have advised my goddaughter Diha!
Well, I guess that's it for now... I'll chip in later, if I come across anything else... ;D
Oh, and where did u get the portable speaker? I'd sure like to have one...

I think that after a long tour of troopings, the velcro would need replacement. RedRoyalGuard your words of sound advice is WELCOME indeed. Thanks Based on your inputs, I'll have to affix a strap - I'm looking at Black elastic, on the middle of the Shoulder Bell so that it will hold in place even with a lot of arm movements. GREAT idea, even BETTER than my original intention to reinforce the industrial velcro contact with the Bicep armor. OK off goes the velcro on my Shoulder Bell & Bicep armor tonight. ;D
FYI my friend, when it comes to armored Stormtrooper costuming, there is an obvious DIFFERENCE between Pauldron and Shoulder Bells that you've mentioned. They are NOT the same and this can be clearly seen in this pic below:
Deployed Sandtrooper TD 5422 is wearing a White Shoulder PAULDRON right on top of his right Shoulder Bell. I seem to notice a piece of black velcro on your lower back. Is that where the belt is supposed to go? It was not attached there on that day... I would suggest replacing all the old, worn velcro fastenings with fresh new ones... That area per your observation is on the PRIORITY items on my MUST DO LIST before MOVIE CARNIVAL 2007. As I've already mentioned in my previous posts, the obvious MIS-alignment between the front and back abdomen armor is the main factor that caused the back belt to become very loose. And thanks for your tip I'll definitely inspect the existing velcro fastenings and replace the old worn out ones. This will certainly be FIXED this BEFORE I don this set of TK Armor again. And DO get contact lenses, as u have advised my goddaughter Diha!
Well, I guess that's it for now... I'll chip in later, if I come across anything else... ;D
Oh, and where did u get the portable speaker? I'd sure like to have one... RedRoyalGuard, I have DISAGREE with you on getting contact lenses as I choose NOT to troop wearing them. Call it personal preference as I'm more COMFORTABLE trooping WITHOUT using them, even though glasses tend to get in the way when I'm putting my Helmet on. My current FX "oversized" Stormtrooper Helmet and so will my next helmet provides me ample room space. However, the same CAN'T be said for the TIGHTER Don Post Royal Guard Helmet where contact lenses is a MUST if Diha is going to be the Royal Guard after you.
In case you might not have been aware, I was wearing contacts from April to November 2005 when I trooped as Emperor Palpatine and the Royal Guard with the MySciFiFan STAR WARS Costumed Contingent. Stopped using contacts when I appeared as the Tusken Raider w.e.f. December 2005
You can get the portable speaker phone from shops that sell Electronic accessorries and gadgets. I bought mine from Megatronics in PJ SS2 and it cost me around RM160 as it is an imported model from Japan.

Hahhah then she can costume & fix ur armour all at one time heheh LOL thanks but NO thanks Allen. I'm confident that my refurbished TK armor with the helpful tips from RedRoyalGuard, will be able to hold itself WELL and INTACT when I next don it for some INTENSIVE TROOPING in conjunction with MOVIE CARNIVAL 2007.
