More information about Hati.org.my and Charity Fair details:
HATI is a non-profit information provider and facilitator for charities, NGOs, and underprivileged communities, primarily through our online directory at www.hati.org.my with the objective of providing an effective link between people in need of aid and people who can offer such aid. Listing on the online directory is free. HATI does not accept / collect donations in any form and encourages such donations to be sent directly to those in need. However, we do organize charity fairs and jumble sales such as the upcoming one where all proceeds go to the participating charities.HATI also encourages the public to play an active role in community needs by participating in volunteer and fund-raising activities.
Currently, HATI is self-funded and run by volunteers on a part-time basis. HATI’s online directory has been active since 2001 with currently 120 organisations listed and growing. In addition, HATI regularly receives invitations from the public, NGOs, and corporations to participate with collaborative charitable projects providing aid to those in need. Some of recent projects include the Beautiful Gate Foundation Be An Angel Campaign, and Lions LEADS Training Program.
As a kick off for 2006, HATI will be expanding its online presence via a new interactive website providing an upgraded online directory listings and volunteer management capabilities.
