Ok people. Listen up. There will be an event in amcorp mall this coming October. A friend of mine who runs a local Game shop will be having a convention of his own. It is to create awarness for the games and other products that he can provide. There will be demonstations on various RPG and Board games during this event. Some examples of games being run are as followed RPG games such as - Dungeon and Dragons - Shadowrun - Legends of the Five Rings - Lord of the Rings - and other such games Trading Card Games - Magic the Gathering - Wrestling Card Game - VS (superhero trading card game) - and others Board Games - Zombies - Portorico - Settelers of Cattan - and others It will be held : in Amcorp Mall on the 8th and 9th of October from 11am onwards. probably ending at 6pm Also, we are asked to participate in a cosplay competition. What are the prizes, I really dont know yet. Will keep you all posted. Also, the cosplay is slightly controlled. the only costume allowed will have to be associated with some form of RPG based game. Again, will keep you all posted on what sort of game is considered RPG. Anyone heard of WARHAMMER or WARMACHINEs? Anyway, More to come later. (oops... methink that this is supposed to be in the event thread. its not a private party ppl. its an event. sorry)

I may be interested to come down from Singapore in my LOTR Costume. Also interested in seeing how the LOTR one is played since I do purchase a few of it for fun or as references (But all unpainted unfortunately).

Warhammer is a tabletop miniature wargame. You basically have miniatures and conduct massive battles, kinda like a turn-based large-scale strategy game using minis. Wait a minute, that's exactly what it is!
Is it Warhammer or Warhammer 40K? Warhammer is fantasy, WH40K is futuristic, but the same concepts of Humans, Orcs, Elves and Demons in different names.

(oops... methink that this is supposed to be in the event thread. its not a private party ppl. its an event. sorry) Yes, this is an event, but the Events Board is mainly for events with some association with MySciFiFan in one form or another (sponsorship, Contingent appearance, etc.). Wolfcon at the moment doesn't have any association with MySciFiFan so this may be taken as a 'private party' for community members who wish to participate, i.e. transfer to 'Private Outings'. Do continue keeping us updated though. The organisors are also welcome to open communications with the MySciFiFan admin for any mutually beniefical ideas.

Don't really think Wolf have a proper website yet. Well, game-related at any rate... but it has been ages since I dropped over. So, maybe there have been some changes. Heh... would be cool if anyone can go as a W40K Space Marine or something. Goodness knows I have been wracking my head the last two years desperately to think how to build a Blood Marine and failing miserably since it is supposed to be much much harder that scratch-building a stormtrooper armour. Warhammer would be easier to make costumes whether it is the Empire to the Orcs. Standard fantasy stuff. Though someone with an uniform fetish could easily be one of the W40K Imperial Guard. hehehe. If you can make it in your Marchwarden costume, Haldir... you can be one of the Wood of High Elves. Just add a BIG bright shiny jewel somewhere... GW has their own LotR tabletop minis anyway. More info would be highly appreciated. ;D
