I have to agree with you there, Haldir. This forum have seen so many members who talk the talk but don't walk the walk. We've seen those who plan ma ssive costuming projects but when push comes to shove, they vanish into thin air. I sincerely AGREE with Kalkamel and Haldir on this subject matter. The cla ssic example is this NATO fellow :- Clonetrooper. Just read through his "costuming project" threads that he has posted when he joined MySciFiFan forums in June 2005, riding on the hype of STAR WARS Episode III : ROTS. Literally vanished into thin air when invitations and opportunities are given to him to join the MySciFiFan STAR WARS Costumed Contingent for trooping. Comes up with his usual excuse ,"I don't have any Star Wars costume yet" when its time for him to Walk the Talk. Go figure!
P.S. Heroking no reference was made to you in my posted reply, so no worries.

Heroking, please don't be offended. My comment was not directed towards you. It is directed to those "posers" who talk big big costume projects but put zero effort in realizing them. And to make it worse, they diss the work of others who actually make the effort. Those are the kind of members we can do without.
You wanna see dedicated costume makers who talk the talk and walk the walk? Look at people like Andrea and Jamie from Gate of Annwyn and RedRoyalGuard. These guys constantly have new projects up their sleeves and show them by posting their progress/completion pics. Kudos to them!

Well, about the same old costume part, well, what do you expect when a particular series is popular? Everyone want to do Naruto, Bleach, D Grey Man, Vampire Knights, Trinity Blood etc etc. Only the few willing to do Anime/Manga Costumes that is less know and throw in the part of "want to be recognized" by the fan, popular Anime/Manga Characters win over. And the Cosplay Scene in Malaysia I understand is still developing so give it time. You think we got many different Mecha makers in Singapore and they appear often? Looking back, I only remember 3 (and the quality of work is still in the "okay okay" stage; nothing spectacular yet) and 1 who made the Chibi (Super Deformed) versions of Gundam Mecha. Rare if compared to the Cosplay Population here actually. Even then, you can only see their Mecha once or at best twice a year. Last year, I only saw my friend's SD Gundam and the year before can't remember any. And when I go to each event, it's always Naruto, Bleach, Ouran High Host Club, Gundum Seed, FF etc etc. Btw, I take back my words and probably have to wear my TIE Pilot on Sun, and occasionally the Imperial Crewman. Apparently my friend off on holiday so can't help me drill some holes and rivet some parts together for my Scout. Will just continue finishing up the soft parts tho by next weekend. ;D

If you meet the 501st Standards you can even request your GML to add IC to your 501st membership profile.
Your set of Biker Scout Armor is from Kropserkel right? Have you approached any of your 501st Singapore Garrison member to help to assist you to drill and rivet your Biker Scout hard parts? I have trooped with TB 5479 and he informed me that he owns a set of Kropserkel of TB armor as yours.

...And hope the scene there don't decline in Moral like here in Singapore. Many of the Noob here don't respect us the Senior and the made the quality of costume from certain titles goes down the drain again when the rest of us had been raising its standard throughout the years. OK Haldir need you to share a bit further with us here. What do you mean by decline in Moral in Singapore? Where did those N00b crawl out from and what have they done with the QUALITY of the costumes that made them go down the drain or "jatuh standard"?
