hisham, you spelled galatica wrong. seen enough comercials on the scifi show to know. . Gattaca? E-wing, is not wrong spelling, Hisham meant (and spelled correctly) "Gattaca", a different sci-fi movie...

I agree with Plo, toooo many to list (just search in Ebay), but here's some interesting that come to my mind: - Raumpatrouille Orion (in Germany) - The Otherworld (The pyramid-portal thingy that sends a holidaying family into a parallel world...) - Krull (I like the armour costume of the good knights! Red ones...cool helmets, can flip up and down...hehe....bad black knights also not bad....)

For me.. it's gotta to be Bladerunner! that's got to be in the top 10 of anyone's sci-fi movie list.. well, maybe for me.. also..
Dark City - One of the coolest movie Barbarella - Oh Yeah The Time Machine - the original, not the crappy remake The Thing - look Ma, no CGI! Clockwork Orange - hmm is this sci-fi? kind of..

Didn't really like bladerunner....maybe I'm too stupid to understand the plot or just don't like it's look and feel... maybe too slow and boring for me? Totally agree, I do!! It's one of those movies you pick up and say "hmm...what's this one" but turning out surprisingly nice & cool! Like it! haha...I can imagine why...hehe ;D Yaa....I don't really like the new/remake one either (even when being noodled over and over again at Astro at one time...)....but can't really recall the original never heard/seen of...

Bladerunner was actually big flop at the movies when it came out.. but it gain reputation through video releases later.. i like it because of it's cyber-punk-ish feel and asimov-ish story line..
I first saw the original Time Machine on TV when i was just a kid (meaning 20 years ago).. love it then and still love it now
A Clockwork Orange is one of the few Stanley Kubrick's movies. It was nominated for Best Movie and Director Oscar in 1972. If you wanna see a movie that is like no other movie, see this! but a bit of warning.. it has a lot of violence and disturbing scenes..

does any one remember the movie Willow? Yup, I do. But it's a fantasy movie not sci-fi.
As for the OP, the sci-fi movies that I remember watching at the cinema are:
Star Wars orginal trilogy - duh
Black Hole - really crappy movie but I was a kid when I watched it and remember loving it. But really, it's crap.
The Thing - I usually dont like remakes but this one was excellent!
War of the Worlds - the 1950s version, not the recent remake with Cruise.
Flash Gordon - 1980 movie. Very low budget. Very camp. It's so bad, it's good. ;D
Journey to the Center of the Earth - the one with James Mason....and a duck
20K Leagues Under the Sea - Disney movie.
Err, that's all I remember . Those were the ones that I watched at the cinema or VHS way back in the 1980s. Since I started collecting dvds, I've watched a lot more sci-fi. Click on the link: www.dvdaficionado.com/dvds.html?cat=1&sub=Sci-Fi%2FFantasy&id=datazak

I vaguely remember that one... was it a movie proper or a television series (or both?) childhood memories slipping away... Say, did the family eventually find their way back to their own reality or what??
