Highlander was another bad sci-fi/fantasy movie that was saved with an awesome Queen soundtrack.
On the contrary, I *loved* the first Highlander movie!! Christopher Lambert was actually quite good, Sean Connery was mesmerising, and Clancy Brown was so despicably evil!! ;D The climatic battle scene @ the end, in the abandoned warehouse (am I remembering it correctly??) with the explosive shower of broken glass.. I dunno, I just loved it!
And I agree with you, the Queen soundtrack rocks!! "It's A Kind of Magic" was catchy, and the love theme "Who Wants To Live Forever" is yet another Queen classic!!
And the first Highlander is light-years better than the laughably bad Highlander II:The Quickening ( Though they did have Michael Ironside as the numero uno bad guy) and Highlander III (Mario Van Peebles as the bad guy *gakkk*) ;D
It is sometimes a mistake to climb; it is always a mistake never even to make the attempt. If you do not climb, you will not fall. This is true. But is it that bad to fail, that hard to fall? -DREAM, from Neil Gaiman's Sandman
