It might work if he speaks like Agent Smith (Matrix) during Happy hour and with a lot less sarcasm. But seriously, I am not so sure. Somehow, the idea of putting the original Optimus Prime voice actor (Peter Culling) and the scratchy Megatron (Frank Welker) from the cartoon, would not work.
We need someone whose voice is more commanding, brave and (fill in your own words). Maybe James Earl Jones after a bout of laughing gas.
