you know... i never realised the similarities. Optimus is Kong while Megatron is T-rex. hmmmm the only Kong movie i watched as that 1976 one with Jessica Lange. don't recall there being a T-rex in that version. though i was pretty young to remember it in detail. my post seem to be missing? You posted it in the 'Fantastic 4' thread, somehow...
And somehow, Edge managed to spot it and copied it here...he he he ;D

The trailer looked amazing The island bits look dark and foreboding enough.. and there's only one scene (a pretty quick one) that showed Kong rampaging through the streets of New York.. pretty good, but think they'll polish up the effect s even more.. Kong vs T.Rex.. who's your daddy?? ;D [/color] And did Peter Jackson lose weight or what??

Unfortunately, it's not a 3D film but a normal 2D in IMAX format... but trust me, with 12000 watts of surround power, it'll vibrate your butt off!!! plus since it's fully digital, the pix is oh so beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeyooooooooooooooooooootiful!!!
i'm game... let me know.

I've seen the movie... not at all boring for a 3 hours movie... there's hardly a dull moment... it is full of thrill, humor and romance... and u all should see how Kong fought off not 1... but 3 T-Rex!!! some part of the fight is funny too... ;D The movie is definitely a masterpiece... a must see!!! So don't miss out... Enjoy it!!!

And the next time I am watching it, I am dying to catch the cameo of PJ on the bi-planes. I was too obsessed with Kong the last time to really pay attention to the smaller details. I came out of the cinema somewhat dazed with a pleased little 'cor' at my lips... certainly appeals to the fanboy in me. I had to laugh at the many 'tributes' to other films... the sheer cheek of the man!

When I saw this, I thought 3 hours? For a simple storyline? I didn't have a high expectation for the movie as I did Return of the King, or Revenge of the Sith. But, I left the theater very satisfied. Here the review I wrote after seeing it. The other thing would be Jamed Newton Howard's score for the movie. I wouldn't have thought he could have pulled off something epic like this. ;D Other thoughts: Great line between Jack Black and Colin Hanks where they tried to get "Fay" into the movie, but she was making a film with RKO. In real life Fay Wray would be making the original King Kong with Cooper under RKO.
