They just ignited the fireworks here not long ago...scared the living daylights out of my cat! ;D

Oh yeah. You should have seen the fireworks at KL... It was cool and impressive, but they are obviously not as impressive as the 4th of July one's that the American's would use.

Merdeka is a Malay word meaning freedom or independence. It became the slogon of the independence movement in Malaysia and Singapore in the 1950s and 1960s.
