Actually the face color is not white ... it's the scarely dead-man grey ... Anyway, the box comes with white powder & make-up kits as well. Can't remember how much it cost, but it's in between my most expensive Klingon mask and my cheapest Ferengi mask. I also have my own make-up powders in several other colors as well ... gold (as Data), blue (as Bolian), green (as Orion), orange (as Ferengi), etc. ... but i need to start looking for a grey powder.

I take it the headpiece is like a cap that covers your hair? Or do you have to shave for a more realistic effect? I have to say the Borg were the coolest thing on Trek, even better than the Klingons.

Yep Dr EMH, scary dead man grey is the way to go.
Actually it is the base color, you still need to add the subtle viens using a blend of medium to neutral grey to accentuate the FULL Borg effect! This effect is evident in the 2 Borgs in the pic above.
I guess you need to sit down for at least an hour for the full borg make up to be applied to you as compared to wearing a Klingon, Talaxian or Cardassian Mask. FYI, I had to sit down for 1 hour + for the Emperor Palpatine's fake skin and paint to be applied to me before I am ready to step out and the scare the h**l out of the Mid Valley GSC patrons during the fan screening of STAR WARS Episode III back in May 2005. ;D

Doc, is the kit just for the mask or does it include the full body suit?

Just headset & make-up kit. Yeah and you may need to modify a pair of Freddy Krueger mittens to add THAT accessory to your Borg costume! ;D
