Oh please do give them a visit and mention about MSFF, might get a bit of discount or something since some of us do go in there to have our stuff made... the quality of their work is pretty good and the seamstress rather knowledgable, so you don't have to explain over and over again what exactly you need - the oh so typical problem with normal tailor. You can always opt to bring in your own material if you want a closer match. Though I am not terribly impressed by their availability of props in their collection. Those are definately on the bleah side of the equation.

Oh please do give them a visit and mention about MSFF, might get a bit of discount or something since some of us do go in there to have our stuff made... *jadenlee walks into FUNCOSTUME SHOP* "Hi I would like to make a costume. I'm a member of MSFF"
Sham: "Sure, welsome, MSFF member is always welcomed here! Do have a sit while I go get Christine" *goes off to the back*
Sham(at the back): "Christine, ANOTHER MSFF member wants to make a costume, WHAT should I do?"
Christine *peeks through the curtain crack*: "Oh, new member ah? Ok lah as long as its not that Pol guy again. If she bring her own material, charge her 300% of the normal labour charge. If she's using our material, charge her 200% of the fabric cost and 200% of the normal labour charge. Oh and make sure she has to come back at least 10 times for fitting"
Shsm*rubs hands gleefully and mumbles to herself*: "He he he...new victim to torture...DIE, MSFF scum, DIE!" ______________________________________________________________________________
Hey Sham & Christine, if you're reading this, joking only ah...you know I love u gals ;D

Hi all,
I went to the shop yesterday morning, but they don't seem to have much SW sample or props and the material of their costumes are not that good quality, I have enquired and the lady said I can bring my own material, maybe I will give them my own mesurement and design in order to be accurate. Only thing is I will only be free near end of year to go searching for materials.
Or perhaps to save me all the hassle, I should consider buying the cloak from online dealers for £99/- and the rest will ask fun costume to make. But thinking about it I do not wish to spend so much though it will be more closer to the real thing. Anyway will decide later. ;D

So you checked out FUN COSTUME SHOP I see. Its true that they do NOT specialise in making STAR WARS Costumes. In order for them to get what you want made per your specifications, you will need to provide them with LOTS of pictorial references to eliminate the use of their imagination in making what you want. Using your own material ensures that your costume is made from what you choose and not of their choice. Fishyahoo and Plo Strax-Avix have made their Jedi Robes from them and got it RIGHT after 2 to 3 modifications here and there.

OH dear, if I want to make a Starfleet uniform, would I have to supply the dress patterns? MrEngineer, FYI Richard, Douglas and the rest of the Malaysian Star Trek costumers used another tailor in Taipan to get their Star Fleet Officer's uniform made.
FUN COSTUME might be able to get the job done. However, a word of caution, please make sure you supply them with LOTS of reference pictures apart from Dress Patterns if you want to get exactly what you seen in being worn by the Star Fleet Officers in the TV Series.

Alright, in that case, may I have the Taipan tailor contacts?
